Very pricey saddle that did not fit my horse as advertised. Pretty saddle but not worth the money. Talked with maker several times and the only option was changing pads since I had it longer than return time.

My Synergist Saddle
Beautiful saddle. Made as I ordered, this saddle is so comfortable. It truly is made for a women's body. A great fit for my horse w/ the Equi measure. I had my fenders put in the balanced position. I have had many Western saddles that I could never stay in the two point position because I would always fall backwards, with my Synergist I can now stay up. The saddle was made w/English rigging and a back cinch. I trail ride plus arena ride. At times with my Western saddles my fender would get hooked on the latigo strap, after talking to Synergist I went w/English I am so glad I did. It has taken a few rides to get used to this rigging like how many holes I need to buckle, and I should buckle the same on both sides.
Synergist has been right there w/ every question I have asked even after I received my saddle. This family owned saddle business does not forget you after your saddle is made, paid for, and sent to you.
My fenders were not long enough due to Synergist not knowing I ride w/a long leg. I e-mailed a picture and was called the next day letting me know my new longer fenders would be made and sent the following week. They arrived on the date I was told they would w/ instructions on how to change them out.
I have not had sore knees nor my hips hurting. I no longer have a ache in my shoulders or back trying to lift a heavy Western saddle, my Synergist weighs 25 lbs.
So happy I went with Synergist.

Saddle Hurt My Back
I cannot recommend Synergist saddles or the company for 2 main reasons. First, they told me they could fit my short backed horse. Then when I returned it (and lost over $500 for restocking fee)they said they could not fit short backed horses. Secondly, the saddle caused back problems for me. Over 25 years of riding I have never had back problems from a saddle. But the synergist saddle caused upper back pain for me and I ended up at the doctor and chiropractor. And I did not like the way every regular feature of the saddle cost more money (cantle was extra, horn was extra). And they quoted me a price, then called to say the tooling I chose was going to be $100 more above the quote. I said I'd skip the tooling (didn't care about that), and then they back pedaled. It was the most expensive saddle I've every bought (over $2800) and it failed me and my horse. Disappointed.I wish I had known they cannot build saddles for short backed horses at the start. Instead I heard this when I returned the saddle and was out $500.
My review is about my experience w/ Synergist which was not good. Saddle did not work for my horse or me. Just saying I do not recommend the company or their saddles. I believe customer reviews are about their own experiences and others can take or leave them, but should not label them just because they disagree.
I wrote my original comment because I DO KNOW about my horse and my experience: I was clear and asked lots of questions. Bottom line... Synergist was not clear about several things (tooling and fitting my horse) and mislead me as a customer.
My goal: to tell others my experience and save someone some money.
This review is of little value. The company's standards are well established, communicated. Appears to be an emotional rather than an objective review.
I do not know about your back or your short backed horse but, anytime you have a custom saddle made it is broken down in each price what you want extra padding, horn, tooling. I have a Synergist and everything is CLEARLY marked out in the catalog they send you as well as on their web site. I do not think you are being fair about your review. It sounds like you are bitter about not getting what you wanted due to not being clear with what you were wanting. I did not have any problem with ordering my saddle because you have to Ask Questions, communication works wonders and gets results.

I Have A Synergist Endurance Saddle Which Is By Fa
I have a Synergist Endurance saddle which is by far the most comfortable saddle I have owned for both me & my horse. I've ridden over 700 hours in my current saddle. Synergist is the ONLY saddle I will ride! I recommend them to everyone who inquires about my saddle at NATRC, AERC, and while general conditioning on the trail.
Synergist has solved the age old problem of fitting the rider & horse. And, they have excellent customer service.
As for the persons who are giving Synergist negative reviews, why don't you get some assistance with your saddle? It seems you may need some education on tacking up your horse. Ask an experienced/serious rider to assist you or ask Synergist if they have a sales rep in your area to come evaluate your specific gripe.
It's always a pain to buy and sell saddles when fitting a challenging horse, but that's what EBAY & Craigslist is for.
With a Synergist saddle you can eliminate reselling saddles, and you have the option of having the saddle refitted for a nominal fee. I don't know about you, but as for me that means a hell of a lot!
I found this review very helpful because it refers to several common sense considerations that anyone who has and who has been around horses a long time would also be concerned about.
Especially, the references to people who allegedly have had negative experiences with Synergist are spot-on. Such outlandish claims just do not make sense and run exactly opposite of my personal experiences with the helpful people at Synergist whom I've shopped with for tack and other needs for years. Never had a problem with them and I've been at this game for more than 45 years!

The Synergist Company Made This Saddle In A Week.
The Synergist company made this saddle in a week. It came with a small gash in the pommel do to negligent packing. Bad saddle. Not secure at all.
Slides around. Would not recommend for anyone.
Saddle sliding around??? Even poorly constructed garage sale saddles can be cinched down. This review has no value for determining this saddles value.
What ever that makes no sense? Are you someone with a competing saddle company trying to disrepute this company! Shame on you.
I found this review not helpful because it has the markings of the proverbial knee-jerk, sour grapes variety.
The obvious question to ask is whether the reviewer made any attempt to discuss the alleged issue with the saddler and have them resolve the issue. I've shipped many things that I've personally packed extremely well only to have a careless shipper beat it up, damaging the contents. That kind of thing is not unusual and a one-time incident says absolutely nothing about the reputation of the people who shipped the product.

This is a great product! I have been using it for years and have not had any complaints. I have been getting my horseback riding equipment from a site called www.EQtack.com that has the lowest prices and all of the equestrian equipment/apparel that you can think of. Not only is the website convenient to shop online, it has top of the line products. Head on over and look for this piece of equipment!

The Synergist Saddle People Were Extremely Helpful
The Synergist Saddle people were extremely helpful when I was shopping for a custom-fitted saddle for my horse. After using their exclusive Equimeasure saddle-fitting system where I created an exact mold of my horse's back they made a saddle that fits my horse perfectly. Me and my horse couldn't be happier. The saddle doesn't chafe my horse like my off-the-shelf saddle did. Since I spend a lot of time in the saddle when I go on endurance rides, my backside is a lot more comfortable as well.

That's very odd. Syngersits are known for lasting quality and are selling all over the net for well over $1000. You should have no problem recouping your investment, espcially since they can be retrofitted to any horse's shape.

Synergist Has Made The Most Comfortable Saddle For
Synergist has made the most comfortable saddle for the horse and rider I have ever owned. Horses with behaviour problems far too often are determined to be caused by an ill-fitting saddle. Synergist Saddles fit you and your horse. After almost 10 years and my horses are as happy and comfortable as I am.
I found this review very helpful because it confirms what I had suspected after reading other comments by other "contributors." That is to say that there appears to be a lot of misinformation going around about Synergist saddles - especially used Synergist saddles which, by their unique design, can easily be refitted to another horse. This fact (to my thinking) makes the initial investment into a Synergist saddle an exceptionally good one if you plan to change horses. Synergist refitting costs are nominal compared to buying a new saddle from another saddler - even a cheap saddle.
Complaints about Synergist seem to have more to do with their customer service which some reviewers seem to think should include swapping out a custom made endurance saddle for a brand new Western saddle after owning the custom saddle for a year and a half! Does Synergist really have any obligation to swap saddles after that long just because the customer only owns one saddle and wants to change? I think not.
Synergist is a multi-generation, family-owned saddler that obviously takes pride in building great fitting saddles. Absolutely contrary to some comments I've found their customer service to be exceptional, fair and as accommodating as any business every time I've communicated with them. Very knowledgeable people and products. Five star service!
