Fabulous Rug And So Easy To Take On And Off. Real

Fabulous rug and so easy to take on and off. Really versatile and horse seems very happy to wear it. Bought a medium for a 14.3 cobx and it fits very well - have not experienced any rubbing. Dries very quickly so can put back on the same day. Will definitely buy again and would highly recommend.

It Is A Lovely, Cosy, Practical Rug. I Like That

It is a lovely, cosy, practical rug. I like that it covers the belly, especially good for my clipped out horses. It is well made with a sturdy zip and strong, big patched velcro pads, and fits securely and comfortably around the neck- I had the hoodless version with no face.

Regarding the rubbing of the mane, there is a satin-y patch to prevent this, and I find that if mane and rug are kept very clean there is absolutely no rubbing.

My only criticism is the poor sizing. It does state that if your horse is sturdy to go up a size but I originally bought a medium/large for a normal ISH (3/4 TB) who takes a 6'3" as the recommendation stated, but found it far too snug. I then used it for my small hunter who takes a 5'9"-6'0" rug and I found it still to small! I would absolutely buy this rug again, but now I know how the sizing works- definitely buy a size bigger than you think unless you are dressing something very fine, like an Arab, I wouldn't count a 3/4 TB as particularly sturdy!

Our Full Neck Sherpa Rug Is Great. Kept Our Very C

Our full neck sherpa rug is great. Kept our very cold horse warm and snug on the coldest days. Great as you can layer other weight rugs on top day or night. Only problem was we lost our mane I think due to neck rugging all winter but soon grew back ready for plaiting. A must for cold horse living in the north of England. Great fit etc, as yet haven't tested the washability. Luckily we have large boxes and a clean horse so not too dirty after a season wear. Make sure you have the base of the zip fully in place before closing or can open up during wear. If you are thinking about this rug go for it.

Dress Circle Horsewear Hoodless Double Sherpa Rug

Dress Circle Horsewear Hoodless Double Sherpa Rug - A nice quality rug but the fit was very disappointing. The recommended size swamped my horse and as in the previous review it rubbed between his front legs. Also I found that the under belly flap was often damp and smelly, I think it was because my gelding was somehow peeing on it. I have now cut the belly flap off and the flap that went between his front legs to get some use out of the rug. A heavy rug to wash! I won't be buying another of these rugs.

I Bought Medium Rug For My Horse Who Has 5' 9" Rug

I bought medium rug for my horse who has 5' 9" rugs and it is a perfect fit. Never moves even though my horse loves to roll.Perfect for changeable spring weather with a summer sheet on top. Its really easy to fit on, there are no bad points.

The Dress Circle Horsewear Hoodless Double Sherpa

The Dress Circle Horsewear Hoodless Double Sherpa Rug cost me £115, but well worth the money as I won't need to buy any more stable rugs and it means my medium weight turnout rug can be worn over it in the field, saving me money on buying a heavyweight turnout rug. Starts as small as 4ft9 goes up to 7ft.

Has Lycra inside so the combo turnout rug won't rub the mane any more. Zip up neck Velcro belly strap so no buckles or leg straps. No other rug in the UK like it.

Number1

I bought the full necked version of the sherpa rug and found that it was far too big on him despite the fact that I bought the recommended size that fell within his rug size. Also the section that goes between his front legs rubbed him. Its also very heavy and difficult to wash.
