You Definitely Have To Do This! Amazing
We had the most Amazing hack out with Tas on a 3 hour treck with my 9 and 11 year old daughters. He was a fantastic lead, he made the ride so much more enjoyable and was very good with the children and gave my 9 year old lots of confidence. He is very knowledgable with the horses, a bit like the horse whisperer ;-)
If you enjoy riding wether experienced or beginner I would definitely recommend doing this.

Fab Day Trekking
I had a lovely time on a full day trek which was led by Tash.
The horses were excellent + well behaved.
The day started with a quick ride in the arena to get used to the horse. Then went went out down quiet roads, many bridlepaths, and over fields (perfect for a nice canter) and moorland.
Tash was knowledgeable about the local area + pointed about many sights and informed us about the history of the local area. He also found the time to give tips about riding and management of the horses which was great as it helped you to work better with the horse you were riding.
Overall, great day, beautiful scenary and brilliant horses.

Good Horses, Good Riding, Good Times!
I needed to get riding fit for my annual visit to Jordan to do the 6 day Wadi Rum desert trail ride. After 30 years of horse owning in the UK, I am now without my own horse and I had given up on finding anywhere to ride that met my standards of good horses, good riding and good welfare, until I remembered seeing signs for Snowdonia Riding Stables on my travels in God’s own beautiful country, the mountains of North Wales. I booked a half day ride. We were a mixed group of experienced and beginners, various ages, and the two ride leaders did a great job of giving everyone a good riding experience – safety was paramount and thanks to tactful guidance from the advisor the beginners even improved during just one afternoon. Experienced riders got some good canters and weren’t at all hampered by the beginners, as can happen on some group rides.
I am used to riding responsive Arabs who don’t need much encouragement either to go fast or slow down, and I was very pleased with the horse I rode, nothing like a typical “riding school horse”, he reminded me of my own horse and gave me a responsive, comfortable ride, and on top of everything he was a really lovely person! The next week I rode him on the full day ride and he opened up even more up on the mountain, an absolute pleasure to ride all day.
For me it’s a 5 hour round trip to ride here; I could hack out closer to home but I want safe, quality horses and more than that I will not compromise on the horses’ well-being. It is clear from the behaviour of the horses and their relationships with the staff that the horses are treated as individuals, loved and well cared for, for example all the staff know the different characters of the horses, and everyone has to get on at the mounting block which is good practice to avoid strain to the horse’s back (and damage to the saddle too). Out on the ride one of the leaders rode a young, sensitive ex-racehorse mare, managing all the gates expertly and riding with great tact and sympathy, giving the mare a good learning experience that will develop her confidence. On the next ride, the ride leader rode a lovely green mare who just had a problem going past one “novelty object!” on the ride – rather than “boot” the mare past, as many riders would have done (not setting up good learning for the next scary object!) the ride leader was happy for one of the other horses to go in front so that her mare could follow.
There’s a really relaxed and friendly atmosphere on the yard and out on the rides, even though it’s no mean feat leading a group of strangers on horseback out into the remote Welsh mountains! I will definitely be a regular here from now on to build up some riding fitness, so I won’t have to “wing it” once a year in the desert any more! Highly recommended to anyone who just wants to enjoy the beautiful scenery on horseback or if you want some more challenging mountain riding on a quality horse who is also very nice to talk to!

Nice Horses, Beautiful Nature And Wonderful Guide
We went for a half day ride with Tash this summer, and can't praise him enough! He was a very funny and skilled guide when it comes to both riding and the nature we were riding in. He handled guiding a group of people with very mixed riding skills beautifully, and made sure everybody could enjoy the ride. The horses were nice and the weather and scenary fantastic! It was everything that we had dreamed of :)

Stunning Horses Stunning Views
During my first real trip to Wales I wanted to experience the snowdonia national park, in the best way possible, which for me, there is only one choice - horse back :-)
Snowdonia riding stables were efficient on booking and friendly when I arrived. Best of all their checks of me as a rider and my experience was thorough. This always gives me confidence in a yard, I have worked with horses many years myself and know how important it is to match horse to rider (more for the benefit of the horse in my opinion)!
The trek was awesome and the Guide, Tash excellent. Could not compliment him more, experienced and calm, he was great with the beginner riders on the trek, talking to them calmly and giving simple yet effective advice the whole time.
I am an experienced rider and he quickly noted this, being sensitive to that, allowed me some freedom while on horse back which I really appreciated :-)
Overall great experience, with some exiting moments to overcome .... Cant wait to ride there again.

Afternoon To Remember......
Great afternoon spent recently. Not the best weather wise, but that could not spoil the whole experience.
Beautifully behaved horses, fantastic scenery, and a brilliant guide, who managed to accommodate both a novice and an experienced rider brilliantly meaning with both had a great time, and fascinating to watch his relationship with his own horse, very gifted guy, thank you very much for definitely a day to remember and would love to come back again!

Great First Experience On A Horse!
I booked a 1.5 hour hack with my girlfriend at Snowdonia Riding Stables a couple of days before new year. We were given Tash as our guide and he instantly put us at ease with his good sense of humour and obvious natural ability with horses.
When on the hack Tash had a large amount of local knowledge which really added to the ride, he also kindly lent my girlfriend his gloves when her hands became cold.
We were soon riding confidently at a fast trot (something I was aiming for on the ride) and the combination of a great horse, stunning views and a fantastic guide, combined to make a truly unforgettable first experience on a horse!
