The Most Wonderful Breed

We rescued our girl (very unplanned) at around 1yr old, after she was bought by a man known to the family and then unwanted.

It was our first experience of the breed and first time I'd even seen one in person. From the minute she arrived we fell in love with her. She came a nervous, quiet dog who was very unsure of men. After just a few months of love she became a confident, beautiful, gentle girl who loved everyone, especially the men in her life! lol

She absolutely adored people of all ages and people adored her. She was amazing with children and everyone she came into contact with. She didn't have a bad bone in her body. She cuddled you like I've never seen a dog cuddle before. At the start of the year we introduced another bull terrier pup into our family and she totally loved and nurtured him. Our angel passed away last month after 13 amazing years with us. The most heartbreaking thing that I don't think I'll ever get over. Our whole family including myself is now totally obsessed with the breed. The pup is brilliant - full of character and love. When young they are literally like toddlers in the best way! Challenging but the most rewarding dog you'll ever have. Be firm and fair and they will love you unconditionally.

Bull Terriers Rock

so many people hate bull terriers but its not the dogs fault its the owners ! i have a bull terrier and have had her for a while now but so many people hate bull terriers just because they CAN kill other animals . DUH, they are hunting dogs , thats completely normal . If they attack other dogs its not because they are aggressive it is beacuase YOUR DOG was the problem not mine . I take my dog everywhere with me and never once has she attacked another dog for just sitting being sweet and innocent . If you are going to blame it on the dog than you are made of PURE SOLID idiot for thinking the dog knew it wasnt sposed to injure a dog that bit its owner . One day me and my 14 WEEK OLD, eight pound pet were at the park when this dumb chiuaua walks up to my puppy , then me . Of coarse i ask the owner if i could pet him and she said yes. So i bent down to pet the dog and he growled so i backed off and took my puppy away from that jerk, then i feel a sharp biting pain from this little animal . i scream because it cought me on suprise and my puppy freaks out cause she knows i am in pain . She attacks that chiuaua and the owner HITS MY DOG . So if you are looking into getting a bull terrier just know they are very loving protective dogs to have

A Wonderful Family Member

Basil is my third Bull Terrier and all have been absolutely fantastic. People either love them or hate them to look at, but once those who have never been up close to a Bully meet them they always become smitten. They are loveable, humorous, funny, loyal and sensitive. Bully's always love comfort such as cushions sofas and human beds, they always have mad 2 minutes when they charge around the garden chasing imaginary friends or their tail, hate walking in the rain, and vacumn cleaning also annoys them as they like to chase the vacumn cleaner. They are wonderful with children and often with cats, but occasionally not very patient when meeting new bigger dogs when out on their walks. They love sleeping, and love sleeping in the sun and forgetting their sun screen (they do get burnt especially on theirtummy). They have the most expressive triangular eyes. Their only down side is they can sometimes suffer fom skin complaints (especially the whites) but our bullies were are are kept off processed foods and we occasionally use hibby scrub to help

Our Bull Terrier Is Now3 Years Old And Starting To

Our Bull Terrier is now3 years old and starting to calm down, however, I must say she is a better dog to have around the house the out JRT. She is very lazy and loves to lay in the sun. She is a poor guard dog as she cannot be bothered to go to the door. I let her off the lead in secure quiet areas with my JRT (he has perfect recall) and she will usually come back when called with him, but she certainly has selected deafness and does her own thing. I really struggled to walk her on the lead with a harness which was reccommended by the breeder, now she is actually on a wide leather greyhound style collar and she doesnt pull at all and walks nicely with me. The main problem I have is other peoples perception of her, they cross the road to avoid us and sometimes will carry their dog past me - when in fact is it is the very tiny cute JRT who dislikes other dogs bothering him when we are out and about, and our Bully girl just strolls on by. I am NEVER worried that she would bite anyone - we have never heard her growl!! I am worried she could hurt someone if she accidentally knocked them down as bull terriers don't tend to go around things at full speed. Have one if you can stand snoring, constant talking and answering back -you will have a perpetual teenage attitude if you own a bully. And boy - can they eat!!!

I Have An 18 Month Old Brindle Bull Terrier. I Too

I have an 18 month old brindle Bull Terrier. I took him to obieance training at 6 months old, he is great. He is the most loveable, loyal pet a person can own. He is like one of our kids, he loves and protects our grandkids. Bull Terriers do have high energy, love to be walked or run (we have a dog jogger on a bike) A person can not ask for a more loyal friend. We just found out our Bullie has kidney disease. Does anyone out there have any comments on kidney failure in Bull Terriers?

Hi Im Just Wondering If Anyone Out There Could Giv

Hi im just wondering if anyone out there could give me some advice............ Me and my partner are really wanting an English Bull Terrier and we have done for a while now as i have heard so many good things about the breed and they are a dog that we have always loved, but we have one problem i have a bengal cat which is an house cat and im unsure how my cat would get on with the dog and likewise with the dog getting on with the cat as i have heard that this breed of dog can sometimes be funny with other animals. The thing is is my cat is the only animal in our house hold and gets all the attention and i know he would hate the fact of an other animal coming into the house im unsure what to do and would just be really grateful for some advice also i am wanting a male dog and my cat is also male will this make any difference as i thought that they could clash even more with them being the same sex many thanks Rachael x

We Have Had 10 Year Old Lucy For 8 Years Now After

We have had 10 year old lucy for 8 years now after falling in love with her at Battersea dogs home in Old Windsor, Berks. she really is our best friend, so loving and gentle. she has just finished starring in Oliver at the Hawth Theatre in Crawley, West Sussex as Bullseye (Bill Sykes dog) she was a real star and everyone loved her.

She is so soppy but can be very stubborn and sulky if she doesnt get her own way, she is very funny and very spoilt. I can not recommend the breed enough, we were lucky to find such a wonderful rescue .

This Is An Excellent Type Of Dog. We Rescued One F

This is an excellent type of dog. We rescued one from an animal santurary. I have never had a dog make me laugh so much with their funny little habbits. He was very loyal and a big softy. They have a bad reputation which they dont deserve. He was great with children, other dogs and all people dispite having suffered trauma in his life prior to us adopting him. We even had him on the stage as Bill Sykes dog in Oliver at the Marlow Theatre. Sadly they seem prone to kidney problems and we lost him to kiney failure. Broke our hearts, but would definately get another one if we decided to have a dog again.
