Lhasa Puppy Loves This Food!

I recently bought a lhasa apso puppy, and bought this food for her she loves it and is doing great, shiny coat, firm poos and she can eat the kibbles easily! I have 2older chihuahuas also that was on advanced nutrition kibble but was picky with it they kept trying to get to the puppy food so now they are also on this food I know it's a puppy version but the kibble size is suitable for toy dogs and they love it shiny coats, healthy teeth, firm poos, no wind, my babies are doing great I'm going to keep them on this food now even when the lhasa pupp grows up x they also get chicken. Minced beef, eggs. Etc great value too..

My Puppy Wolfs It Down!

For all these idiots writing reviews about their puppies having adverse reactions and diahrrea it is because they are idiots and have no idea about puppies digestive system

If you change a puppies food it will have a severe adverse reaction for a week as their digestive system cannot deal with the change. You have to wean them off their old food slowly and add the new food gradually

My dog had iams royal canin and barely touched either and had diahrrea. I gave her this pets at home one and yes she had bad wind and diahrrea for over a week but once her stomach settled she is fine no more diahrrea or constipation or being sick like she was on other food and she always finished this within minutes

Highly recommend it to anyone obviously don't be an idiot give your dog time to adjust to the food first

Very Sick Dog!

I got my 10 week old puppy the Pets at Home brand of dog food. When I switched from the food the breeder had given me to this brand she started getting horrible diarrhea and blood in her stool. I though it was Parvo or some equally horrible disease. She was miserable and became dehydrated and I had to give her Dioralyte. And at one point I thought she might actually die.

I read up on quality dog food and how a high percentage of meat is very important. This brand of dog food had only 10% meat, while others had 30% or more. It was only half the price of high quality dog food (1/3 of the meat should be 1/3 of the price so they're obviously making a lot of money making dogs sick!)

I switched my puppy to Eukanuba and she was so much better!!! She immediately starting pooping normally and eventually gained back the weight that she lost on the Pets at Home brand.

Please, for your dog's sake and your own, do not buy this!

I'm sorry to hear about your dog and glad it's better now. Having read the positive and negative comments on here I think it's fair to say that, like humans, all dogs are different and because of their genetic make up all can react differently to different foods. Whilst I'm fine with baked potato skins, you shouldve smelt the house when my ex boyfriend had eaten them!!

Yes it's always advisable to introduce a new food gradually to a dog of any age and it may be that a new food doesn't suit all dogs.

I have a 17 week old boxer, staffy,?, cross. Whilst with his rescuers he was weaned on autarky but due to cost and very healthy appetite I was forced to look for someshing more affordable. I chose the pets at home brand as I felt it had to be reasonably good to uphold their reputation as a major pet store. I am very fortunate that he not only loves it but has had no problems with his health or we'll being. He is growing up to be a very healthy, large, happy and lovely dog. I will continue to monitor him and should things change in the future due to changes in his needs and digestive system, I will obviously have to look for a different brand. Up to now though I'm pleased to say he's doing great on the food

At First I Was Convinced It Was Good By The Staff

At first I was convinced it was good by the staff in the shop because of the high meat content compared to the brand I was on. My pug puppy will eat the food but has started having terrible wind and runny stools. He has gone from going maybe 3 times a day to 8! And now he wont sleep through the night. Each night he cries and needs up 2 or 3 times to go outside for the toilet. I am changing him asap.

My pug puppy was on this from birth, I kept him on it as I wanted to keep what he was eating from the breeders, he scratched all day long, had spots all over his body, smelt really bad, I knew it was this food, so I changed to james wellbeloved and he's much better, can go longer without smelling, not scratching as much as he did.

My puppy had the same problem! And also blood in her stools and tons of mucous! I actually thought she might die! I changed her food to another with a 30% meat percentage and she is doing much better. But she was horribly dehydrated and I had to give her dioralyte. I'm amazed they're allowed to sell this!!!

We Have A Golden Retriever Puppy And Whilst They H

We have a Golden Retriever puppy and whilst they have the reputation for eating anything on offer (and sometimes not on offer), he was tiring of his initial premium complete dog food. As the recipe is essentially the same as Wainwrights but better value, we changed his food to Pets At Home complete puppy food and he loves it.

I agree with the previous reviewer - the larger kibble ensures he has to chew his food rather than almost inhale it!!

He's 6 months old now, strong, glossy cost, energetic without being hyperactive - he seems to be developing really well. His stools are slightly firmer and slightly bigger and less frequent compared to when he was on other complete foods. They also don't have an acrid smell like other foods caused.

All in all, we're happy and he's happy and i'd recommend the food to anyone.

I Bought Pets At Home Puppy Food For My Two Englis

I bought pets at home puppy food for my two english springer spaniel puppies only because there was an offer on (2 large bags for the price of one)

one of my pups had bother with constipation prior to changing food, and the other had a very dull coat, and was very skinny.

Since feeding them pets at home food, they have gained condition, their coats are shiny, they go to the toilet far easier.

The actual kibble is a great shape due to its larger size than other brands, because the puppies tended to rush with other foods with smaller pellets. Now they have to eat a bit slower therefore feel more full after a meal. I store the food in my house and it doesnt smell as bad as other brands!! Overall, good value for money, and good for all round nutrition.

Quality Food At A Reasonable Price. Costs Are Kep

Quality food at a reasonable price. Costs are kept to a minimum because there is no call to pay other stores to sell it.

My puppy loves it. Previously he was on another complete food which was premium cost but he suffered greatly with constipation which lead to bleeding. I switched to Pets At Home and he is fine now. Solid stools, no straining.

His coat is looking good and he behaves as well as can be expected for a young puppy.

Our Jack Russell Puppy Loves Pets At Home Puppy Co

Our Jack Russell puppy loves Pets at Home Puppy Complete, so much more than any other brand - including the Pets at Home Puppy Tin Food. His coat is very smooth and shiny. Absolutely no problems with sickness or any of the side effects mentioned in other reviews. We were recommended this food by a friend with a Border Terrier and so I am taking the opportunity to recommend this to others.
