Ottlite Rechargeable Battery Task Lamp

I've been buying on ebay for years and had very few problems, but had my first really duff transaction when I bought an Ottlite rechargeable battery task lamp from seller quiltedbear02, who also has a website the Quilted Bear.

I inserted the bulb according to the instructions and charged the lamp for 24 hours, again as per the instructions, but it didn't work at all.

Following some communication with the seller (quite patronising on her part) I returned it for a refund. On receipt, the seller magnanimously said that she would post me a credit note for the item price only! Needless to say, I opened a dispute with eBay, who found in my favour and refunded me in full for the item price and outgoing p&p. I'm still out of pocket though by the £8.21 that it cost me to send the (quite heavy) lamp back by signed for courier, so I'm left very underwhelmed by the whole transaction.

The lamp itself, I found quite clunky and it would have taken up quite a bit of space on my work table. I decided to replace it instead with a floor standing daylight lamp from Co-operative Xest, which happened to be cheaper also.
