After searching for a side table and not finding anything I finally found Shaun's site. He made my oak cube exactly to my measurements. The standard of wood was and still is amazing and after now almost a year it still looks brand new. Worth every penny. Thankyou so much!!

I asked for a quote on the Monday for a solid oak mantle, cut to my specifications and oiled. In all honesty I was expecting a lengthy process and to be quoted high prices (as I had been with other companies). I was quoted a mere £125, cut, oiled delivered and with hidden fixtures supplied. I paid using Pay Pal (always comforting when purchasing online) on the Monday afternoon as this was by far the cheapest quote I was given. It arrived on the Saturday! I cannot believe how quickly this was delivered, and was not disappointed when I unwrapped it. The Oak Mantle is stunning and finished beautifully. I now have to wait until my wood burner is fitted before I attach it, but the builder I am using has basically said the fixtures are brilliant and you wont even notice they are there! Extremely happy customer, and would highly recommend to anybody!

I was delighted when I discovered this website as I had been looking for something a little different and special. I ordered the three beam coffee table and paid through paypal. Throughout the sale process I felt at ease when every email/telephone call I made was immediately returned. I admit the amount of time I waited for the table was a little longer than I had anticipated however it was definitely worth it.

I had been looking for a single beam mantle and found a couple of possible suppliers. I went with HMWB due to a combination of cost, look and quality and am very glad I did.

Having placed the order I immediately received a notification of when to expect it, followed shortly if a date when I would get it. From ordering to delivery was about a week.

It didn't come with instructions to fit, but once I emailed I was immediately Ting back to discuss any problems I had.

Having searched long and hard across the web, I was pleased to find HMWB's site, in particular the oak fire surrounds which looked exactly what I was after.

A quick query on the sizing was replied to very promptly, and they were keen to stress that the wood could be custom cut to my specification. This was the major reason I decided to go for it in the end, on top of the reasonable cost for what was quite a bit of oak!

Once I had placed my order, it can only be a matter of days before I got an email asking for the delivery address, and it turned up securely packaged at work later that week.

The wood was made 'rustic-looking' and looks fantastic around my fireplace, and I'd thoroughly recommend Handmade Wooden Boxes as a company to buy quality wood products from. Good pricing, excellent communication and advise and quick turnaround time are what I look for with all my online shopping, and these guys certainly delivered on all fronts.

Bought green oak dining table and benches from this person. Took ages to make them (lots of excuses, including possible illness, who knows whether this was true or not). When the items arrived, it was clear that the 'mortis and tenon' joints promised had been replaced with dowel and biscuit joints. If you know anything about furniture, you'll know that dowel and biscuit joints are the weakest around. Not good when they're meant to be supporting some seriously heavy timber. Needless to say, the furniture fell apart within two years. No craftsmanship here at all. No apology or contact from the maker despite contacting him several times to complain. Buyer beware!
