Enchanted Mince Pie Candles

I was lucky enough to receive a pack of two mince pie candles with an order I placed with Enchanted last December. The candles look remarkably like real, edible mince pies, and if it wasn't for the wick in the centre of the pastry giving it away, they would have looked good enough to eat! Indeed, one of the candles even had a bite taken out of it!

They came beautifully presented in a green gift box, tied with a ribbon, and would have made a perfect gift for somebody if I hadn't taken a shine to them myself!

Unlit, they smelt mildly of mince pies- that deliciously festive mincemeaty scent. I was relunctant to light them initially, as they look too pretty to burn. However as Christmas drew closer, I wanted my house to smell festive, and so I took the plunge and lit on of the candles. The scent was simply delicious, and it made me feel ever so Christmassy. I burnt it for over 12 hours in total, and the scent was still going strong. I look forward to getting them out again this December, to fill my living room with a yummy smell and lift my spirits while I tackle the Christmas card list!
