Worse Company Out Would Not Touch With A Bargepole

We ordered a double bed and a large wall mirror. When these items were delivered the packaging was near non existent. The bedframe was dented, scratched and had rust all over it, the mirror, had rust spots behind the mirror itself. And this rusty mess cost £1800.

When complained, they wanted to put the onus on the delivery company, but they had only picked it up from Trendy's warehouse. This had not just been manufactured and shipped to us, it had been around a long time to get this rusty. They said that their goods were quality controlled when they left the warehouse, well these items were certainly NOT quality controlled, either that, someone needed to go to spec savers. All they were interested in was selling us another item, which we did not want given the state of the first order.

It took them from May to October to refund the money back and then they held back an amount of money, it wasn't until I phoned them and they said that it was an oversight. Rubbish as I paid them the full amount initially, so therefore they should have refunded the full amount back. The staff here are really unhelpful and obnoxious and rude. Certainly would NOT entertain dealing with these people or company again. Trendy products may be their name but certainly NOT their products.

I emailed them 3 times about my orders status but never get answered and never received the merchandise.

6 Months And Still Waiting

I ordered a bedroom furniture set in November 2017. This included a king size bed, two bedside tables, mattress and a chest of drawers. 3 months later, as promised, I received a message saying my furniture was due to be delivered. All that they delivered was the bed slat and mattress. So they basically used my bedroom as their warehouse for several weeks after which they delivered the remaining parts if the bed.

When we started putting together the bed we realised that the bedside tables were the wrong size. Raised a complaint and they promised to replace it in a few weeks around Easter. Easter is over, 6 months after originally placing the order, I am still waiting for the bedside tables and the compensation they promised to give as a goodwill gesture. Everytime I call they told me someone would call the next day regarding this. Surprise surprise, no one has ever called. It's April 2018 and I have still no updates. I have asked for a full refund. Not really expecting a response, as always.

Black Caty Bookcase Ordered On 14/11

Black Caty bookcase ordered on 14/11, website and order confirmation stated 'in stock and ready to go'.

- No further communication from Trendy Products.

- I had to chase for an update by email on 30/11

- Trendy Products Finally responded on 5/12 'my item has recently arrived with the delivery company, they should be getting in contact with you shortly to book your delivery'. 3 weeks after order placed for an item that was 'in stock and ready to go'.

- 8/12 email confirmation that delivery to take place 13/12. Delivery van alledgedly breaks down.

- Rescheduled for 18/12. Not on van, delivery note states 'WHITE CATY BOOKCASE'?!

- My follow up emails of 18 and 19/12 ignored.

I would suggest that this is significantly poor customer service. They have sat on my money with interest for over a month. Do not buy from this Company.

I ordered a child's bunk bed and some wardrobes from the Rimobel range on the trendy products website. My initial experience with trendy products was very good: They were easy to get in contact with and were very helpful with the design of the bedroom. They also explained that the furniture would take some time as it was being shipped in from abroad but they would be in contact once it had arrived to arrange delivery and assembly - a service that I had paid extra for.

The problems started once the furniture had arrived and was ready for delivery. Trendy products use a separate delivery company and another, separate company for the assembly. It was left down to me to liaise with both companies and organise a date when they were both able to 'deliver' their services. This may not seem like that big a deal but it was no easy task. Especially when I was let down a few times by both separate companies due to "not having staff available" or "no vans available". This caused further inconvenience due to the extra time away from work I had to take. You would hope that trendy products would take care of the delivery and assembly or at least be your point of contact rather than leaving all of this down to the customer. Especially when you are paying the best part of 3K for a bedroom.

When we eventually got round to sorting a date for delivery & assembly, the assembly team arrived without any instructions. They eventually finished the build after a long day but it was plain to see that they had 'improvised' somewhat and they had also damaged several parts of the furniture. They told me that "I should just be able to paint over those bit and no one will notice". Again, not what you expect when you pay 3K for some bedroom furniture.

I contacted trendy products again, sent them photos of the damage and they agreed to send me some new parts. Unfortunately, replacing some of the damaged areas would mean completely re-assembling the furniture so I am just going to have to live with it.

The new parts finally arrived after being shipped in from abroad. Unfortunately Trendy Products had ordered the wrong parts so I am now waiting for the correct items to be delivered.

Its been nearly six months since I ordered the furniture and I still don't have a complete finished bedroom. Added to this, I am going to have to re-assemble the bedroom with the undamaged parts once they finally arrive.

To summarise, Trendy Products were helpful & easy to get in contact with and the bedroom furniture is decent. But I will not use them again unless they change their method of deliver & assembly.

Please Read Before Buying

BEWARE  PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING FROM TRENDY PRODUCTS

As a customer who paid alot of money (even after the sale price) I feel it is my duty to warn other customers of the quality and finish of these products from Trendy Products.

Firstly you need to be aware that Trendy Products sources their items for third party retailers so look elsewhere first as you will most likely find them cheaper directly from the manufacturer or even ebay or amazon.

In relation to the products which are made by a company called Germania furniture be aware that these are not a high end product. In fact they are built with the same materials fixtures and fittings as most flat packed furniture you'd buy from ikea or homebase at a fraction of the cost.

We bought coloured units and after paying alot for the unit and even more for delivery when the items are seen they do not match the colours shown on line.  They are duller and lighter, not as vibrant as on line.

We informed Trendy Products of this but as the unit had been built they could not do anything but the company were prepared to send two new doors for around 120 Inc. Postage!!! The entire unit was 150.  Trendy products offered a pity full £25 towards the postage. 

Even though there is no damage to the doors the company have refused to have them returned.

In summary stay clear of the company as you'll probably find their products cheaper and don't be fooled by the quality from the manufacturer. It's cheaply made and produced as similar products can be found much cheaper.

What an absolutely stupid review. I can tell you from being a cabinet maker in Australia, their products are first class. Of course they are flat packed products, how do you expect them to shipped all over the UK. Also the colours not being vibrant, that's just stupid. Product photos and brochures are always shot with lighting and other techniques, if it doesn't look like that in your boring home, why is it their fault.

This review shouldn't be buyer beware, it should be idiots beware, do not shop online if you are this fussy.

Delivery was absolutely untimely. When requested exchange they just kept the product without exchange. Not a trustworthy people.

Misleading Descriptions Of Products And Poor Resolution

we ordered 2 complete Rimobel kids bedroom sets from Trendy Products. We liked being able to customise design and the modern look.

First, the delivery date wasn't coordinated with the fitters, which we weren't made aware of, so had booked a day off and got rid of previous furniture and then had to wait another week for the fitters.

Fitters were great and all good quality, HOWEVER,

the beds aren't beds, merely a space for a mattress on top of drawers. Its like having a mattress on the floor.

This wasn't pointed out to us when we designed the rooms prior to ordering. We've tried to resolve this but the company isn't willing to engage with us on this. Apparently slats can't be retrofitted and they won't discuss any kind of compensation or compromise (e.g. funding mattress toppers).

Deeply dissatisfied with this situation, having spent a fortune on the rooms
