Shocking customer service. Eager to come out and assess what needs to be done. Friendly, confident sales person/owner.

Still waiting for estimate 6 months on. Since September 2018 to be exact

Despite numerous phone calls whereby the always pleasant lady promised to call me back only once did they honour this in 6 months in which they asked me to be patient and said an estimate would be done soon.

When asked if they were interested in doing the job I only wanted assurances so I could go elsewhere if they weren't interested

Iam still waiting. . The company has caused a delay for me and I have wasted 6 months as I believed their promises of getting an estimate.

Well don't waste your time or mine because such bad customer service does not give me any confidence.

It is a sham of a way to run a business. Very dissapointed, to be treated like this. Also very bizarre to come out, assess job and then fail to give an estimate or return my phone calls.

They did a very nice job of reupholstering my dining chairs but damaged to leg of one quite badly. This may have been done in the workshop or during carriage. It was left to me to point out the damage, although it was clear to see. They did not quibble and took it back saying that they had an expert who would deal with it. When returned it was a very amateurish repair with stain that "didn't quite match".

No point in complaining again. No apology and certainly no offer of a price reduction.

Be warned - check the condition on return!

A member of Star upholstery called to measure up for a quote 6 weeks ago. Still not had it. When I rang to politely ask when I could expect it I was asked 'How longs a piece of string?'. I'm still waiting........Looks like they just lost a £5000 job.

We placed an order with 'Star Upholstery' for the 'Hornblower' style sofa and the 'Hornblower' style chair to be made to our own specifications.

(Height of seating, Brass castors etc) along with having our existing

'Queen Anne' style chair and electric recliner chair recovered all to match in our chosen fabric. The service and advice received from the staff was excellent. No pushy sales talk just helpful advice which was much appreciated. The range of fabrics and patterns from which to choose is extensive and we were given samples to take home. Our suite is now complete and is looking beautiful in our sitting room. Needless to say we are highly delighted with our purchases and can thoroughly recommend 'Star Upholstery' for going out of their way to give good service, quality and satisfaction.

We have used Star Upholstry for many years. Three piece suite, dining and fireside chairs re-covered and polished. No job is too small and they give a very personal and friendly service.

A very wide range of excellent quality materials to suit every pocket.

They also provided excellent chairs for the day room at the local hospital.

I had an Ercol sofa recovered with new cushions and remodelling, they made it look great and modern. They gave great advice on what would work best and any downsides, a lot of other people simply said "yes" to my ideas, which with hindsight were not right! They are a very honest family firm who have been there years.

They came out and did proper inspections and measuring before quoting, they lent me fabric books to take home and view in situ etc with no pressure.

Everything went very smoothly, they stuck to their timescales and delivered what they promised. They are keen to please their customers.

I would recommend them, so much so that I am having a second sofa done in the new year!

Star Upholstery based in Sheffield gave my wife and I and excellent service and delivered the bespoke sofa's we were looking for. We gave them the a general idea of what we wanted they talked to us about the fabric and leather's that would work well and they did an amazing job.
