Disgusting Company!
Where to start! I ordered and paid for a £250 small TV unit back in June. The website clearly stated a 14 day delivery wait. Yet 4 months later and numerous emails to the company i was given excuse after excuse. (The Olympics/Courier company/out of stock). There were times my husband booked time off work to be at home for the delivery only for them to never turn up. After demanding to speak with a manager i was told this would not be possible and that all correspondence had to be via email. It reached the point in December after 6 months that i asked for a full refund only to be told they could not give me my money back! (see review below for their precise response). Its disgusting; they are still trading and selling the exact table yet can not full fill my order or give me my money back. My good nature and patience have been completely abused, this company do not understand the meaning of customer service and should be avoided at all costs. They are clearly unethical and will take your money. I am contacting trading standards and Watchdog. I can not stress how furious I am.

If you take a look on the TrustPilot website you will see more disgruntled customers than supposedly happy clients. I've been waiting two months for a wardrobe that they took the money for immediately (£700+)only to get this email:
Dear Carol,
Due to misunderstanding between “Highgrove Furnishings Limited” and our “merchant bank” we will no longer be able to fulfil your order. Our merchant account provider Streamline has restricted access to the refund facility and also withholding our funds, which is preventing us from refunding you in any other way.
In order to retrieve your money we would strongly recommend you to contact your credit/debit card company and claim the funds through them; we will fully cooperate with them in order to refund you the amount owed.
Highgrove Furnishings Limited is doing everything possible to get back on track and to start fulfilling outstanding orders.
Once again, please accept our sincerest apologies for the distress caused during this process, this was never our intention

When I responded that this was not acceptable to go straight to credit card company and that it should be resolved by them and after leaving my HONEST opinion of them on TrustPilot, I get this email:
Dear Carol,

We fully understand your disappointment and frustration, but unfortunately at this point we can only wait to hear from your credit/ debit card company and work with them in order to refund you the full amount owed.

It just seems they are using the 'Credit Card Companies will refund bad debts' get out clause, to take your money and run. It just makes you wonder if the good reviews are genuine.
SO IF YOU STILL DECIDE TO BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, PLEASE USE A CREDIT CARD SO YOU DON'T LOSE OUT!!!!!
Terrible Customer Service, Lies, Lies And Lies!!!
Avoid this company at all costs!!! I wish I had seen the reviews below before I placed an order with them on October 2nd for £1800. Despite purchasing so much and after more than 6 email exchanges I still have no delivery date confirmed - which has totally buggered up a planned shipment to France. I had emailed the company the day before ordering to check stock availability and even adjusted my order based on their recommendations of what they had in stock. I was promised delivery within 5 - 15 days (which I admit covers them till tomorrow) and checked each item when ordering. Still no news on possible delivery date although there customer service assistant keeps aplogising but no explanations about the delay. I would not believe a word they write on here. I am going to report them to both Barclaycard and Trading Standards and as a consumer lawyer they can look forward to a rough ride from me!!!
I wish I had seen your review before I got involved with this company. I placed an order in August and have chased every week for a delivery date again having no date confirmed and appologies but no explanation. I finally had my order delivered today (Not at the time stated) and 2 of my items were very badly damaged, not from delivery inside the well packaged parcels there were bits snapped off all over the place! DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE!

Given my experience I would advise anyone to stay clear of furniturecamden.co.uk.
I ordered a sideboard in August as the item was on offer and in stock but received an e-mail saying it actually wasn’t in stock and it would be 1 or 2 weeks to be in stock and they would keep me informed. After more than 2 weeks I e-mailed again to be told it was slightly delayed and would be the next week. I chased twice more and each week got a similar response but no real explanation of the problem so I cancelled the order. They said my money would be refunded “shortly” but they also said this when i chased it up every week and and I'm still waiting after 4 weeks so I have threatened legal action to get my money back.

I love this item, good quality, lovely colour, great price, we are planning to order more Furniture Camden furniture, we need a small wooden double bed (4 ft) we cannot see one listed on your website, do you do this size?

I would love to be able to comment on the quality of the furniture and the delivery service but as I have been waiting nearly six months for my items to be back in stock and as they failed to deliver on the appointed day I am unable to do so. Nor will they respond to repeated emails requesting a new delivery date. I am now considering legal action.

They were lucky to have ever received it if your company was involved!!! Shame you couldn't deliver my large order or communicate properly with me about it!!!
