Following many months of discussions and meetings with various staff from Brill we agreed a price and rough schedule for the installation of Solar Panels, Underfloor heating and an Air Source Heat Pump into a new build property we were building for ourselves. Deposits were paid (25% of the £25,000 + contract) and terms& conditions exchanged by email along with the quotes and confirmation of pricing. On the day the solar panel installation should have taken place (Tuesday 1st April 2014)no one turned up. The same day we had a meeting scheduled with the project manager from Brill to discuss the rest of the installation scheduled for the follwing weeks - he didnt turn up. On calling them it appeared a previous installation has overrun and a new meeting & installation was scheduled for the following Monday 7th April. Over the weekend my builder received a short letter which stated BRILL was not going to be proceeding with the contract - no explanation, no discussion - they enclosed a cheque to cover the deposit. I spoke with a number of people at BRILL over the following days to try to understand what happened - no one was prepared to explain other than "we will not be proceeding with the contract". We are now in the process of asking for compensation to cover the delays this has caused the project.. As you can imagine a cancellation of this component of a build with no notice causes everything to cease until a replacement supplier is found - They were not the cheapest supplier we found but did have what appeared to be a professional sales team - clearly this is their strength.

After much deliberation about which solar PV installer to choose and cost of the system, I chose Brill Energy. From the survey they supplied all the facts and figures, but a no point did they try to hard sell their solution to me. The scaffolders arrived the day before and took 40 minutes to put the scaffold up. The next day the Brill team turned up at 8am they were friendly, courteous and very professional and tidy. They had todo some remedial work to the earth bonding in my house , but i was advised that this may be needed before they stated and whilst they were on site by their electrician. They had finished my 11 panel install with micro inverters by 2:30pm and you would never know they had been apart from i was now producing electricity from my new PV system. The office staff helped me with getting my Feed-in Tariff application done again what a fantastic service. The next day the scaffolders removed the scaffold from my property very quickly. The communication from all parties has been excellent as was the customer service.

So to sum it all up, would i recommend Brill energy to anyone considering a Solar PV system ...... The answer is definitely YES!!!!!

Brill Energy were straight-forward to deal with and very prompt. The work was done to a high standard. We are pleased with the system, and glad that we also chose to have Immersun installed - when the solar electricity that we generate is not being used for other appliances, it heats the hot water in our cylinder via our immersion heater.

We had two problems following the installation. These were not caused by Brill Energy, but their experience might have been able to anticipate the issues for us:

1) The TV aerial was over one of the panels, so that panel suffered from bird droppings. We had to get the aerial moved to the other side of the chimney and the panel cleaned.

2) Our immersion heater was old and the thermostat did not work properly, so water was initially heated to boiling point. We had to get a plumber in to fit a modern immersion heater which has a safer maximum temperature.

Scaffolders arrived the day before and erected the necessary scaffolding. Their efficiency was combined with pleasantness.

The Brill energy installation team arrived the next day and had the work all completed by 3pm. Not only were they efficient and helpful but also had a sense of humour whilst carrying out their work.

Both my wife and I are extremely pleased with the Brill Energy system, their backup support (in answering my many questions) and the no pressure sales policy they use.

I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone thinking about installing a PV system.

From my initial request using their "Quick Quote" feature on their website through the visit of their salesman (not pushy at all, just gave the relevant facts) and then their fitters. I was very happy right through the whole process.

I'm a bit of a spreadsheet junkie so after gathering quotes (online and in person) and comparing these and reading online reviews, Brill came out in front for me. Yes they may have been a similar price to others, but they didn't try 'the hard sell' at any time and for me I was supporting local business.

The fitting was great too, all done and dusted well within a day.

The only problem I've had since is with my electric supplier quibbling over my FiT application! I'm sure so they can get out of paying till they have to.

All in all a brilliant job and good service all round, thank you Brill.

Brill came to refit 4 solar pv panels. They refitted them in a couple of hours, readjusted the existing panels. They were very helpful and even cleaned the panels. Excellent work

From first contacting Brill energy by email, to speaking with their sales person at my home to having the solar panels fitted I cannot praise the whole team highly enough. There has been no sales pressure at all and the service they offer is first class. Whenever I have needed to contact the company they have always answered my questions fully and have always returned calls and emails. The pricing for their product is very competitive and good quality materials are used.

The fitting took 2 days and was professionally carried out.

I have had the panels for 3 months and have already produced over 1000kw of power and I am on target to meet my predicted 3000kw for the year.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone thinking of going green.
