COST £5.69 for 600 Washes!!!!
That's less than 1p per wash (as against, at their cheapest of the 2 best known makes, 22p per wash) and NO NEED FOR SOFTENERS.
Mine are from ALDI but I think they are available elsewhere and, in any event, having looked up the ingredients in them in general, on the internet, I think that all makes work equally well.
I was a little sceptical at first, but having seen them being sold in large quantities on the shopping channels I decided to buy some (not from the shopping channels - they charge far, far too much P&P) and I have to say that they work equally as well, if not better than the main detergents sold in all supermarkets and, of course, are infinitely cheaper by far.
AFTER ALL I DO NOT KNOW OF ANY LAUNDRY DETERGENT IN ANY FORM THAT GETS RID OFF ALL STAINS, NO MATTER WHAT THE MANUFACTURERS CLAIM - IF THE STUFF IS SO BRILLIANT WHY HAVE THEY NOW BROUGHT OUT STAIN REMOVERS TO BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THEIR FANTASTIC LAUNDRY DETERGENTS?
Back to the wash balls.... we have very hard water where I live so I have always used a scoop of washing soda to help soften the water and minimise scale and continue to do so with the wash balls.
I continue to treat stains with a proprietory oxygen-based stain remover, in my case ACE ( I decant it into a SPRAY BOTTLE to ensure economy of use) and I do ALL of the family's wash on a 30 degree economy wash.
I always used to do a very hot wash for whites but have now found, much to my delight, that anything new that starts off as white, stays white, colours do not fade and the laundry is soft without any additional softening agents.
There is no discernible smell to the laundry, it is quite neutral and, therefore does not 'follow you around with a detergent smell' when it is worn.
ANOTHER PLUS is that the washing machine is NOT GUMMED UP WITH DETERGENT GRUNGE!
I do about 4/5 washes a week which works out, over a year, using one of the 2 best known detergents + Ace + Soda at about £250.00 BUT
with the Wash Balls + Ace + Soda at about £ 17.44
THAT'S A SAVING OF ABOUT 93%.
Give them a try, you may be very pleasantly surprised and you will certainly save a lot of money.
