Vax V-026 Rapide Deluxe

The Rapide Deluxe Carpet cleaner was really straight forward to assemble together. After working out the usage part in the book ( if you get stuck then there is a video online explaining it better) i was ready to go.

I have never used a carpet cleaner before and was a bit skeptical on how clean my carpets would get. I was so pleased with the end results, a very stubborn stain that i had failed to remove manually before had faded considerably and i think that it may go completely with two more attempts.

It was hard not to try to use this like a normal hoover and found that slowly was better. You can see how much dirt is being lifted in the tank at the front of the cleaner and is easy to remove and empty. The carpets dried in a couple of hours and smelled fresh and new.

The carpet cleaner has a pre-treatment wand for stubborn stains. The only negative i can think of is that it is a bit noisy but with the end results, i can live with that.

I bought this for my new detailing business as I was short on cash at the time. This product is absolutely useless as a shampoo'er. There is minimal suction when used either as an upright or with the hose which means whatever your cleaning remains sodden and takes days to dry. Suction is incredibly weak, I can't emphasise that enough. Weak! weak! weak!

The spray angle when using the hose is too wide and not focused enough. The spray is also incredibly lame when compared to other quality shampoo'ers.

My advice, save up and spend an extra £100 on a Karcher, they're not cheap but they are the absolute best on the market.

You know what they say, buy cheap, pay twice - I surely did.

We bought this Vax V-026 Rapide Delux must of been about 3 years ago and we have never had any problems with it - As we have dogs and cats the carpets need a regular clean and we wouldnt be without one - I have lent it to friends who have then bought one.

It is easy to use - reasonably light weight - great for using on a regular basis and I think reasonably priced.

I would definately recommend one and wouldnt live without it now.

V206 claimed it was ideal for carpets/upholstery/stairs. Purchased on Mon/Tue 27/28/7/09 I used this Sunday (26) on my conservatory upholstery and was very disappointed cushion far too wet and did not soak up as advised on directions, thought this may be faulty but it turns out it wasn't. Phoned Vax immediately and asked for money back - they confirmed this could be done but only after 10 days. Mrs. S - very dissatisfied customer.

We purchased the Vax Rapide Deluxe a few years ago and it seams to do the job quite well it is better than some other ones i used.

it holds a fair amount of clean water but not that much dirty water it has a nice long hose which is great for stairs.

i would recommend it
