George Gve370-2
I bought my George in September 2010 from a place called “affordable group” online for £175 and so far it has been brilliant, I have used him for shampooing my living room, shampooing my car and scrubbing the kitchen floor it is brilliant at extraction cleaning and equally as brilliant at dry vacuuming, it's just as good as Henry when used for dry use. I use my Henry though for everyday dry vacuuming; I do not use George for dry vacuuming in the house as I personally find it a bit cumbersome for everyday dry use but this is no fault of the product.
Overall the George is a brilliant dry and extraction machine and is well worth the money, I would recommend to a friend. I am really pleased wit my purchase.

After Purchasing A Numatic Gve370-2 (george Wet &
After purchasing a Numatic GVE370-2 (George Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaner) from the cheapest source online, I started the job of giving a full set of caravan cushions a wash/vac. After less than a minute, I turned around and found the machine pumping out water onto the lounge carpet!
I called the Numatic helpline, and they seemed to know exactly what the problem was. They arranged for a parcel courier to collect the machine for return to the factory, and after receipt, they told me that they were sending me a "new" replacement. Whereas the original machine had arrived in pristine condition, my "new" replacement came complete with scratched and abraded components. There was detergent found in the pump pipes, and sediment found in the Waste tank. My Numatic had been replaced with an Oldmatic, probably somebody else's returned and recycled machine. Quality control in the Numatic factory must be non-existent; the two switches (wash pump and vacuum motor) are incorrectly marked on the allegedly "new" machine!
IMPORTANT NOTE: I should not have allowed Numatic to get involved, and instead I should have sent the machine back to the retailer as "Dead on Arrival", and asked for a refund.

George Is A Semi-commercial Wet-and-dry Vacuum Cle
George is a semi-commercial wet-and-dry vacuum cleaner which can also 'wash' carpets. It comes with a plethora of bits and pieces, but it is because of this that it is easy to use and always efficient at what it does. No-nonsense design that has been tried and tested in the toughest of environments for many years, it may not have fancy see-through tanks or fancy-looking handles, it just does what it does very well indeed and with the minimum of fuss and nonsense.
OK, so plusses: Virtually bomb-proof build quality, efficient, attachments for any eventuality, long power cord, straightforward design so very easy to repair and parts easy to get should anything go wrong.
Drawbacks: A bit noisy and heavy, lots of attachments, no power-cord rewind, quite pricey compared to some competitors.
Summary: Fantastic at what it does. A bit noisy and heavy, but that is because it is powerful and well built. Not the cheapest model out there, but very well designed and sturdily built so will last a very long time. Were I choosing from scratch, I would buy a George again in an instant.
