Ordered Laminate and Carpets Was told to leave £700 cash as a deposit. Alarm bells rang at this told the guy who later turned out to be Dave the fitter no chance Paying by card or walking out of the shop . He instantly changed his tune and said o.k. credit card will do.The laminate arrived when it was supposed to and Dave the fitter arrived on the day stated. The manager of this shop is a guy called Andrew. I had the work completed about 5 weeks ago. Dave the Carpet fitter did a brilliant job the Laminate looks great.The carpet was subcontracted out to another fitter. He did a good job fitting the carpet However he managed to saw through one of my stairs. He apologised and then asked me to go to the local hardware shop and purchase various lengths of nails which I did and then he had a Go at fixing the stair. Come to think of it Dave the Laminate fitter asked me to go to the Hardware shop and purchase various sizes of felt which had to be stuck to chair legs, Tables etc to stop scratching why didnt he bring this himself. Anyway it all took approx 4-5 days After it was all done I arranged with Dave the Carpet fitter that I would like some rugs made from the offcut. 1 approx 4ft another a 3 foot circle and 2 small door mats. I had enough carpet for the rugs except the 3ft circle when I went into the shop Andrew was there and he said no problem all the rugs on the house even the 3ft one which i did not have enough carpet for. So after week 1 I went into the shop as I live minutes away Dave the fitter was there he said Andrew was not well but he would look into it. Week2 passed No Andrew Dave still in the shop said he would look into it ditto weeks 3.4.5 I kept ringing the shop. The shops phone number must be on a divert to Daves mobile as it rings through to him when the whitefield shop is closed which is most of the time. Yesterday Dave answered the phone told me to f off and stop driving him mad said he does not know where Andrew is. I said forget Andrew just give me my carpet back I will take it somewhere else he put the phone down on me. How about that for customer service.I reccomend that people give this plave a wide berth as they have a connection to Stockport Flooring. Just read some of their reviews on this site ouch.
