Yanis Mattresses

I note the review category options do not even include latex mattress, which is a pity because they are generally superior to memory foam, springs and all the other fillings that are being strongly advertised in 2017/18.

I replaced a 15 year old latex mattress from an Italian manufacturer which had done good service, but was getting 'tired'. I bought a 'Standard Firm' double from Latexsense. The price was good and the product seems excellent.

Anyone moving from a conventional spring and stuffing mattress may find its uniform compressibility a little strange (but not unpleasant) to start. Then they will begin to appreciate the comfort and in the long run the objective health benefits, both for the musculoskeletal system and respiratory system. I am asthmatic and really cannot put up with mould or dust mites. The latex mattress and pillows are a valuable part of my 'war' these parasites. I have used latex mattresses since the late 1980s and have never had back problems. I have previous experience of two other manufacturer brands. The Yanis 'Standard' is fairly basic in my opinion, but that is fine - it seems to be well made and effective, so is very good value for money, especially compared to the big-name brand, which these days is properly expensive. From what I can tell, all the Yanis mattresses come with zip-on washable covers, which is a really practical measure to prolong the working life of the mattress.

Whilst it is early days (or nights), on the basis of the quality of the product, the communication and helpfulness of the staff (quick to answer the phone and help), the good value and free delivery, with - I did not test this - claimed no quibble free return to try a different one, I recommend Yanis.

I am really impressed with the quality of Yanis mattresses, especially for the price. I have been looking for a natural mattress and the range in the UK is very limited. Anything of moderate, long lasting quality is very expensive and unfortunately the benefits of latex mattresses haven't been marketed/aren't well known so they're hard to find. I bought a latex topper initially to try to fix our terrible uneven spring mattress (that came with the apartment) where the pressure of the springs were pushing into me. I was so impressed with the topper that I thought that I should just buy a whole mattress and have it for years to come with nothing to think about after that. I appreciate the fact that Yanis put their time and attention into producing the best mattresses possible, which I think is the most important thing given that you will be sleeping on it for a long time to come. I chose the Bamboo covered mattress - the cover is soft and thick and the latex is one slab of springy natural latex that responds to pressure instantly. I chose the medium mattress because I liked the cushioning and cradling effect of it. I was a bit worried that my partner might find it too soft since he likes really firm mattresses, but he loves it as much as I do, which is a relief. Once you lie on it it supports your body weight evenly and there are no pressure points. It is also cosy but not hot like memory foam which is a big bonus if you like to sleep at a comfortable temperature. Their range and prices are great, I think that there is something to suit everybody, although I would highly recommend the natural latex mattresses. They are friendly and honest, and care about giving you the best mattress to suit your needs and budget (I'm not the fastest decision maker). They deliver the mattress really quickly and because it is specially packed it is easy to handle. And most importantly for me, you don't have to compromise on quality. I'm not sure what I would have done without them.
