Sterling Omega Bed Frame

The only reason I gave this one star is only because it is the minimum the system will accept - it really should be zero stars. This bed frame may be smart to look at but that is where the good points end. Because the mattress sits on 3 solid boards with only a few holes in it there is not enough ventilation, add to that the boards are laminated this means that any heat you generate during the night hits the laminate boards and creates condensation, which results in dampness and ultimately mould. We had a mattress for 1-1/2 years with no problems at all until we bought this bed frame. As I was lifting the mattress to turn I discovered it was wet underneath and mouldy. We had to buy a new mattress and within days of the new one going on we can feel dampness starting again on the underside. We have asked for the base to be taken away and refunded (as there is clearly a design problem) but the store insist that someone has to come out to check we do not have a dampness problem in the house (we dont!). So now 2 weeks later since reporting the problem we cannot use our new bed or mattress. Be warned.
