Ikea Hemnes Day-bed Frame with 3 drawers

Bought for my adult daughter for everyday use. For an adult it just isn't strong enough when extended as a double bed. I've just been round to scrap the whole thing after barely a year what a waste of money. Don't look to customer services for any satisfaction either. If you're buying for a child remember they jump up & down on beds, this one can't won't take it. Takes a long time to build approx. 4 hours, some fittings were missing, we waited for nearly two weeks for these. I will never set foot in IKEA again.

i bought this bed for my daughter , it cost £459 for the bed and 2 mattresses but it is an absolute nightmare to assemble !. you need a lot of space and time to assemble this bed, the bottom section is made first and there are a lot of fixings [ie 19 steps] just to do this part. it has taken 5 hrs to assemble and to be honest when we move in about 6/12 months it wont be coming with us !

it looks OK but the wooden sides and back aren't as strong as they could be overall i would never recommend this bed and certainly wont buy from ikea again.
