Mira Sprint Electric 9.5kw

Thermal cut out issues on these showers. Poor design, use it everyday and the tank will corrode the cut out in around 2 years.

There are many cheaper showers on the market that offer far greater durability. If used every day these wont last more than a couple of years.

Mira know they are making expensive rubbish.

I made the mistake of buying a third one in five years (so i dont have to do a retile job) but now that one has failed as well (one monthy after 1 year warranty)

Mira just dont care.

There just arent any good points about these showers. Go to Screwfix or Tool station and buy one of their cheaper options

i had mira sprint 9.5 kw fitted in 2001. it worked fine no problems, excellent pressure even when all the taps were running wc flushed washing machine never used to loose pressure, but in 2009 it stops working. all electrics work power light on but no water coming out. have to purchase new shower as it can not be repaired. it lasted 8 years not bad gonig considering only paid £149.00 when purched new in 2001...

Had this Mira Sprint Electric 9.5kw shower for 2 years now. Always as hot or cool as we've wanted it. plumbing error is causing it to leak. But it's still working fine. I will replace it with the same model if it's still available. So over all very happy with it.

Mira Sprint was purchased in February 2005 lasted till July 2007 replaced with same shower and this time it has lasted till June 2009, I am finding it very expensive to have a shower. The company only give a years warranty as I think they know it will not last much longer than that.

Had this shower for about 5 years no problems at all except decreasing pressure. The water is very hard as it is probably scaled up, looking for a new one.

Mira Sprint Electric 9.5kw looks good and has quality fee. £149.00 for a shower that lasted 2 years ........Low flow light comes on after 5 mins and shut unit down , our pressure is way above recommended level . Had to buy a new shower as it was just out of waranty ....... not good

I have had this Mira Sprint Electric shower for a few years now and am generally satisfied. Even when the weather is really cold it is possible to have a decent shower. Just a shame these few niggly small things have caused minor issues.

My Mira Sprint Shower stopped working and I need to get something better. All the settings slowly stopped doing what they should have till finally all it would do is spit out cold water. I will look for something else.

I got the Mira Sprint 9.5kw on February 2006. In March 2008 (this year) it stopped working coming up with pressure issues. I had the water pressure in the whole house checked by my water supplier, which was above the recommended level. I decided to contact Mira themselves they did recommend to send out an engineer but that would cost me more that buying a new shower!! Local plumbers do not have any spare Mira parts and they will be too expensive to order and install as a result i have to buy a new shower...very disappointed from a make like Mira...
