Ceda Bathrooms
Here's a money saving tip if you're considering some bathroom furniture made by Ceda UK - DON'T!
The wife ordered quite an expensive whirlpool bath from Ceda (via an internet retailer). It sat in it's crate for a while until the rest of the bathroom was redecorated. By the time it was installed it was out of its 12 month warranty but this didn't overly concern us at the time.
We tried it a couple of times while before the rest of the bathroom was completely finished and noticed that the 'curtain of water' from the elaborate filler just managed to get some of the water into the bath - the rest dribbled out onto the floor.
In order to get the last bit of tiling around the bath done I filled the bath with water. I then discovered water leaking down into the lounge. I took the side of the bath off to discover one of the plastic jets in the base of the bath was leaking. I contacted Ceda and they sent me a new jet (now made of stainless steel!) which, including P&P, was £15.
It was difficult to fit without damaging the hose but I managed it. I filled the bath with water and noticed two other jets dripping. I contacted Ceda and told them that since this was an obvious design/manufacturing flaw could they send me another 7 of these jets and I'll fit them myself. Yes, they said if I pay for them. Ok, so another £60 worth of spares and I have to fit them myself, and I've used the bath twice.
I've just fitted the remaining jets and filled the bath, and water is now dripping from the integral shower.
This very expensive whirlpool bath which has been used twice is now going to be ripped out and scrapped.
Save yourself some money. Never, ever, even consider buying anything from Ceda Uk Ltd.
