Took Them To Court!
It is this lot that should be featuring on that TV programme 'Rogue Traders' because that's exactly what they are.
They did a loft conversion with an ensuite bathroom for us. The shower tray leaked (badly) from the start. The tiles hadn't been put in properly and were cracked (we bought the tiles ourselves and they were expensive).
They refused to do anything about it. It got so bad that it leaked through to the ceiling below dripping down the staircase causing the paintwork to peel away. Every time we had a shower we had to put towels downstairs to stop the water damaging anything else.
In the end we got so fed up that we paid for people to come and put their shoddy work right. Costs us £7K!.
We tried to get the money back and even took them to court and got a Court Order against them. We instructed an enquiry agent to find them but they couldn't be found. Their registered office didnt exist and they hold no assets against which a judgement can be met.
Another reviewer has pointed out that this company has had many names before; probably because they get so bad a reputation that they leave that name behind and just start again with a new one.
I am shocked that anyone has anything good to say about them. Im only giving them a star because I have to.
Do not whatever you do get involved with these people.

Poor Customer Service
I contacted TLS by email a few weeks ago and got a reply from someone who was very professional. I asked for an appointment on a certain day and she confirmed it was available then asked for my full details. I provided them and told her 10am would be best and asked for confirmation as I was booking the day off work for the appointmentappointment. I messaged a couple more times over the week asking for confirmation and didn't get a reply. Finally the morning before I rang both the mobile and landlines numbers several times with no answer (the mobile just said the office is closed please ring after 9am all day). I messaged around 4 the afternoon before to cancel as I wasn't confident that I would get a good service and got a message back straight away saying it had already been cancelled. I reacted with an angry message because I had booked time off and been left with no time to bring in another company at such short notice. To my surprise the reply was even angrier than mine saying the company doesn't deal with 2nd class citizens and I live in a dump. Very poor service met with venom when I complained
Hi, It sounds like I had a lucky escape. I hired The Loft Specialists to do a loft conversion for me in 2014. I paid them around £800 to get to the drawing stage, but then pulled out a couple of weeks before they were due to start the build. I just got cold feet about them and did a bit of research and found a few suspect stories about them online. It seemed like they did botch jobs then changed their company name and carried on. Also, their 'office' seems to be an old car garage and no land line number is available - all this rang alarm bells for me.
I decided to cut my losses and just sack them off, I managed to get some drawings from them but later found out that the plans they produced were not even viable so parts had to be redone. I found a local building company to do the job in the end and they were excellent.
I hope you manage to get things sorted, if you find they are the same people I would stop things now. Better to loose money for the plans than proceed and potentially loose thousands.
Hi, I am sorry to hear about your experience with TLS, I am wondering if you could help me I am suspecting they might have just changed their name to the UK-Lofts. We have paid to have plans drawn by them for a loft conversion and someone in the company has been very rude now that full payment has been made and reluctant to give the finishing drawings for council approval. would you have any names at all?

You have had a lucky escape! I used TLS to do my loft conversion, they started in September this year (2015) and I am still waiting for them to finish, it's now December and no one has been on site since November, £26k paid to the owner and he left in the middle of the job saying he was 'sorry but he was wrapping up the business!' Now Uncontactable and no sign of returning to finish or refund me.....We are a family of 5 who have been left in total chaos and with no money to rectify the disaster which TLS left us with......You my friend have a had a lucky escape!!!! PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD SO IT DOESNT HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE!

Good service from these, done quite quickly and was surprised at how much space there is in the attic. Only thing that let them down abit was the plasterers as they weren't as tidy as the rest of the guys but still happy with the end result.

Plans Only
My husband is a plumber and has lots of friemds in the building trade so we just wanted plans to show us what we could acheive and how to build it. After various architects and surveyors visiting us we found they didnt fill us with confidence and ideas we then came across their page and their plans only package. The surveyor visited and spent about 1 hour listening to our requirements then showm us some fantastic 3D visuals and gave us some great ideas. The initial plan came and we were allowed to make as many changes as we liked to get a final plan we were happy with. Fantasic product exactly as we wanted thank you
P.s During the build hubbie had a few technical queries and the company gave us lots of help no problem,
Clean, Polite And Professional Builders
We recently converted our loft and decided to use the loft specialist based on their detailed plans and initial consulting service. Very pleased with the final result and have been pleasantly surprised with how much they made of the small space we had!
I would recommend them to anyone considering a loft conversion - finished early and in time for Xmas.

Big thanks to the guys at the loft specialists. The guys transformed our loft space in to a master bedroom with an en suite. From start to finish we was extremely happy with everything including how clean and proffesional the guys were. I would definatly recommend then to anybody looking for a similar service.
Good But Then Disappeared
They were highly recommended, but have left us with an unfinished loft and a massive logistical and financial problems to fix.
Hello - TLS, is sadly still 'trading'. We are fortunate that we paid 'only' £1,150 for 3 difference variations of our conversion plans, following which he sent us a low resolution .jpg image of one of the variations and has refused to do any more or provide anything else. He was initially quite charming, but has turned very sour and we have invariably had a relatively lucky escape.
However, I now plan to issue proceedings against him to recover our money and any information you can share could be extremely useful.
I have an address for him in Lees, and I am investigating that address today. However, if you ascertained any alternative addresses, I would be very grateful if you could agree to sharing the information with me.

Unfortunately we are their recent victim. Can you please suggest on how did you solve the problem in the end? Do you have his recent details? We now have to put everything back as the structure he did on ours is not safe and the roof may just fall off any time.I am thinking about to talk to the police about him.

Loft Conversion With Two Bedrooms And A Bathroom
My wife and I had an Architect compile a set of plans for our loft conversion which looked great. We applied for planning permission and obtained it. When we came to submit the plans to various builders for quotations , we realised that there was a problem in the design, most builders informed us it was going to be a very difficult build and we may need to vacate the property whilst work was ongoing. This caused us great concern and even contemplated shelving the entire project. We then contacted the loft specialists. Thankfully they were prepared to find solutions to the build problems. They then built the conversion fully finished, on time, on budget with a couple of weeks disruption at the very end when they installed the stairs ( the installation manager warned us about this ). Thanks to the team and especially the manager who looked over it for us. MHA
