Displayed loads of 'showroom' standard kitchens on his laptop as his past work. Was contracted to do a simple like-for-like kitchen makeover with all main items supplied.

Did not pocess small screws/nails, sealants, securing brackets, in fact, nothing.

Was given a copy of parts to order for checking prior to order, didn't alter, then changed the design on the first day. Extra costs!.

Cupboard end panel push fit under worktop, all worktops had ragged sawn edges, 2 large worktops joined together with glue only, uneven and a stanley knife blade could stand up in the gap. Both these supported with one 2" x 1" wooden loose wedge resting on cupboard frame.

Corner strip swing as only had one screw at top. Door hinges out of square with cupboard and forced out of cut-outs. No iron to stick on shelf edging, then he cut strips short, pieced one length with 3 off-cuts when he had a full roll. All strips came away and cut with knife and catching. Cornices screwed on with 2" screws.

Cut side cupboard panel around two plugs and secured with 2" wire nails from nail gun. Unable to remove plugs as too tight.

No seal under new sink or around cut edges. only 3 out of 8 clamps holding sink down. Plumbing all had to be redone.

Charged £670 and only refunded £300.
