We used this clown a couple of years ago during extensive bathroom modernization and alterations. The job was to tile new plaster walls, shower and around the bath. Also to fit a new toilet after tiling the floor which had been fitted with underfloor heating. The cabling was to have been covered with a latex screed, and this was quoted for.

The job was to have taken three days, however he didn't show up until after ten am on the first day. When he did show up he arrived in a beaten up Rover 200 with few tools. Not a good sign. He was gone again by 4.30 and this theme continued throught the following FIVE days.

The quality of his work was abysmal. His work ethic was abysmal. He left his half eaten packed lunch (empty drinks tins, half eaten sandwiches and crisp wrappers) behind in our bathroom for me to throw out after him and left his tools all over the floor. We were left with NO toilet in the house for almost 36 hours because he couldn't drag himself out of bed and crack on with the job. I paid extra to have him seal the shower/bath with silicon, all of which has subsequently had to be removed and redone.

The final insult was the underfloor heating. After being told more than once that the cabling was to have been completely covered by adhesive or latex it later transpired that he hadn't done it. We discovered this two months later when the heating stopped heating, necessitating £300 worth of tiles to be ripped up, and replaced along with new underfloor heating.

If you are looking for a professional, reliable craftsman in the Southampton area then give this guy a miss. You would do worse than giving AT Ceramics a call who I got in to put the damage right and who couldn't do enough to help.
