I employed Building Tiger through the MyBuilder website to do a flat refurbishment. While some work was OK, the remainder was so poor that I had to tell them to leave. The work was inspected by two other builders and two electricians. I received comments such as, "I thought you only saw stuff like this on those TV programmes." Needless to say I had to pay for much of the work to be re-done and, in the case of the electrics, made safe.

I took Building Tiger to the small claims court and they now have a CCJ against them. They haven't returned my money and have since disappeared. They have, however, created a new website - .buildingtiger. - and amusingly have used some of the positive reviews from MyBuilder as evidence of their work. Don't be fooled. If you look then you'll see that their overall rating is 75%, after a raft of negative reviews.

Definitely one to avoid - there are plenty of proper tradesmen/tradeswomen out there.
