I Bought This 2 Years Ago And Never Used It.did No

I bought this 2 years ago and never used it.Did not even start it.I put it together and covered it up and waited until the day I would need it. Well that day came...I went to turn the fuel on and handle snapped in my hand. I got the fuel turned on and after finally getting it to run it would only stay running for about 2 minutes. Wait theres more....the pull cord tore thru the plastic casing and now I cant even pull it to try and start it. So now I will spend my time and money trying to figure out who can fix this pile of junk. I am so disgusted with your product. I am out at least $500.00 at this point. 500.00 is a lot of money to me. This product represents a waste of money, time, and effort. Thank God my life didn,t depend on this generator

I Bought A Ultrasource 5000 From Home Depot In Sep

I bought a UltraSource 5000 from Home Depot in September 2006. It would not start with less than 100 hours on it in may 2007 while I was wiring my shop to run off of it. I spent 3 months trying to get someone to work on it! No Generac Service center would touch it! I had a local friend that is a Generac Authorized Dealer that said he would attempt to fix it. I was in Afghanistan and he brought it home, he got it to start but now it has a short in the battery circuit and no power output when it is running. I was going to buy a fixed LPG for the house and use this one for the shop until it died and Home Depot nor Generac wanted anything to do with it once I went out the door and they had my $2100.00 in their pocket. I have a very expensive BOAT ANCHOR in my backyard for 2 years.

We Bought The Generac 5000 And It Was Easy To Put

We bought the Generac 5000 and it was easy to put together with just flashlights. Our old faithful generator finally died after we'd been out of electricity for a week-the coldest night of the ice storm! Put it outside and lights came on. After about 2 minutes, lights went off with generator still running. Needless to say, we weren't happy! Had to go to daughter's after spending a week at home already.

I Own 3 Of The Ultrasource 15,000 Watt Units And H

I own 3 of the Ultrasource 15,000 watt units and have little trouble from them. Generac started making the 17,500 units and I purchased 3 of them. All of them run great but quit generating power when still practically new ( only used 2 -3 times ). Their customer service is poor. You call the toll free number to Generac and its all automated. They do have factory authorized service centers but all I've tried don't help me any further.

My Personal Experience With Generac Regarding Thei

My personal experience with Generac regarding their Generac 5000 has not been good. I own one of their units that developed a serious oil leak through the crankshaft seals after only running for a total of 70 hours. Generac has refused to pay any part of the repair cost which I am told will cost about 1/3rd of the purchase price of the unit and I have not got a response yet to any other e-mail I have sent them.

I would not purchase any Generac product.
