Also Sold By The Name Eliminator By Elim. I Called

Also sold by the name Eliminator by Elim. I called Launtop in China and they confirmed it's not their product. The photo on their website and here is nothing like what the unit actually looks like. Get a real Launtop generator.

Buy A Real Launtop Product From Launtop, As The El

Buy a real Launtop product from Launtop, as the Eliminator is a clone of a Launtop product. There is no support and I can't get spare parts. It is a nice simple design on the original unit, and it's quiet with a large exhaust.

After Having Some Power Problems We Decided To Buy

After having some power problems we decided to buy a small Eliminator Launtop standby generator to make sure we could keep the basics going, like the refrigerator.

I get really upset when all my food goes bad during a long power outage.

I found this generator online at a website www.eliminatorusa.com. I actually went there because I had heard many comments about an ELM3000 unit being sold. When I showed my husband, he looked at the site and said this one looked much better and we bought it.

I like the fact that I can actually move it myself. That is a big plus for when the power goes out and my husband is not home.

As an added benifit, we also have a 5th wheel trailer with an air conditioner and this unit ran it just fine. It is not really quiet but it is also not too noisy.

The picture on the webpage showed different sockets, but the sockets it included which is not shown is one GFI 110 volt duplex. I liked that too.

The handle bars are a little rinky dink though. They work, but they wiggle some. I think they could seriously improve that.

Probably the worst thing is we have found that we want more power than 2.8 kW for backup to the house. SHould have bought a bigger unit, which we did end up buying a second bigger generator.

We haven't had it long enough to rate durability and customer support. Since durability is manditory, so far I'd rate it high, but durability should really be answered in a couple years after it has been used.
