Walia Building Contractors Ltd

I had the cheapest quote from Walia Building Contractors based in Southall Middlesex for a bungalow conversion. I took them on as the owner Jagdeep Walia looked like an honest, trustworthy man who seemed like he knew what he was doing. It didnt help that I was in need of help at the time. Anyway Walia took £5000 from me, put a scaffolding, got a skip, got timber delivered and put a couple of cheap labourers in the house and low and behold it seems all good. Next he ask for a further £5000 (within 2 weeks of the first payment) and says its for deposit for roofers, electrician etc. I soon suspected him as no major work was happening and he had taken £10k. I then had to pay out £3k to roofer who stopped his work twice as Walia never paid out then had an agrument with scaffolder as he wasnt paid so paid him then skip was taken as Walia did not pay him. i even had his labourer ask me for money as he had taken it but never paid them. I was in a right pickle. Finaly got rid of him and his lazy good for nothing workers. The house, well - no progress and out of pocket of over £30k. I soon was recommended another builder has already completed more than half the work already and fixed all of Walia's deliberate errors and made safe and solid my house. I suggest everyone to stay clear from Jagdeep Walia of Victoria Road Southall who works as Walia Contracters Limited (as named on his silver van) and stay clear from his little helpers who smoke, chat and are good for stealing in my opinion. He will not think twice in taking you for a ride along with your money which he has his beady eyes on.
