It became increasingly clear that their plan was to drag this project out as long as humanly possible, squeezing every last penny out of me. And to top it all off, they didn’t even bother to clean up after themselves!The final result? What an absolute joke! Shoddy workmanship all around – flaws everywhere you looked, corners cut at every opportunity, and not an ounce of pride in their work. When I dared to point out the appalling quality, the owner, in all his arrogance, had the nerve to dismiss my concerns outright, refusing to take responsibility for his horrendous work.In summary, I wouldn’t wish this company on my worst enemy. I would never recommend Touchstone Lofts to anyone. The owner, has no passion for what he does, and it shows in his dull, lifeless customer contact. When he visited our property in Birmingham he lacked any real emotion or creativity, and just appeared more focused on what extras he could add to the contract. He didn't engage with us and kept asking if "we had money in the bank" (same on his website forms) and instead comes across as aloof and disinterested.

Moreover, his attitude is terrible. He always shows up late, and never takes the time to listen to our concerns with the project, for which there were plenty! I had the unfortunate experience of phoning their "office", and it was a complete disaster, total incompetence, no one appeared to know what was going on.

So I tried to visit the London "office" instead with the hope of speaking to someone in person, but the office doesn’t actually exist despite double checking I had the correct address as advertised on their website. This office was just a front and not branded as Touchstone Lofts, even Google Street view shows this (perhaps I should have checked it before I set off on my journey!).

In short, the owner, is an embarrassment to the building industry and should be avoided at all costs. Save your money and go seek a real builder instead.
