Brutal Kitchen Services
Never having had a new kitchen before in this lifetime, I scrimped and saved to buy one from Stoneworld, Oxford, a firm acting as a partner for Scavolini and Diesel. These 2 brands are so well known that I simply assumed that their few re-sellers in the UK would be legitimate and reliable people to do business with.
The installation process started several weeks ago and remains unfinished. Parts didn't arrive or don't fit, the worktops are (unexpectedly, because this aspect was never mentioned or documented during the design process) far higher than standard and, being rather short, I find them uncomfortable to work on, the fitters damaged my brand new floor and all in all I deeply regret ever having made the order.
To compound my dissatisfaction, the owner of the company came to my home this week to fix one of the myriad faults, refused to speak to me about the list of problems till the work was done then, when he finally agreed to do so, was not only shockingly rude, but physically intimidating. He clearly wished to be asked to leave, which he duly was.
The following day, with the kitchen still incomplete and my issues mostly unanswered, the firm sent me an invoice for the outstanding fee (a tiny % of the huge amount already paid). Naturally enough, I've pointed out that the kitchen isn't finished and their services have been diabolical, but their only response has been to tell me that the missing items are a matter entirely for the manufacturers - with whom I have no contract - and to threaten legal action.
Anyone considering the use of Stoneworld kitchen services would do well to reconsider.
As time passes the behaviours of this diabolical supplier only get worse. They now tell me that they won't respond to my many questions and requests for completion until I've paid them the outstanding 5%. They also tell me that they're intending to sue me both for payment, even though their own Ts&Cs state clearly that this only becomes due upon satisfactory completion, and defamation, even though every word of this post reflects my honest opinion as a very disappointed and unhappy customer. With a larger than 5% chunk of my kitchen still missing and/or faulty and given the Brand associations (Diesel and Scavolini) upon which I'd previously relied, these aggressive tactics are pretty shocking to me.
Now into 2018 and my Stoneworld kitchen remains incomplete. Their management continues to blame the manufacturers for the missing items. They have recently admitted that one of the two glass fronted cabinets does not exist in the manufacturer's brochure, but see no reason for me to be disgruntled with the fact that they have already accepted my money for it. They offer instead some sort of non-factory arrangement, whereby the lighting is fitted by someone other than the manufacturer. Given that the one lit cupboard that did arrive was condemned as faulty and dangerous by my qualified electrician when he tried to install the thing (fizzzz, bang!), my level of comfort that a bespoke solution will be visually acceptable and physically safe is extremely low.

Goods Not Received.
I paid for tiles from Stone world UK and they were never delivered. Seller said that I had given incorrect address. Despite asking many, many, times I never got a refund and I never got the tiles.
Avoid Stone World UK. There are plenty of good dealers out there.
