We were in need of a kitchen and found or should say that ShapingHomes found us. The consultant came round and after several visits and hours we eventually agreed and gave the required deposit. The consultant was believable and a pleasant salesman. We based our decision on what appeared to be a honest and professional man.He explained that we had a 14 day 'cooling off period' and could cancel and our deposit would be refunded in the event of a cancellation. Unfortunately due to personal circumstances we had no choice but to cancel. We cancelled the order within 7 days. Did everything as per contract. Emailed, called and finally just before the 14 days were up, received a call back that they were sorry for our circumstances and that we would be refunded. Finally got the email from their Customer Services that we would get our refund at the end of the month. This was mid August and that we should see the refund at the beginning of September. We waited and no refund appeared. In early September called, emailed every day but without success. No one was ever available to deal with our request. Messages were ignored. Phone calls were ignored. The deposit was £1.500. For two weeks the person who had initially dealt with us and was apparently the only person to deal with our request was never in the office or we had just missed him. To date no one from this company has tried to call or email us back. Endless phone calls and emails are still being ignored. Still NO REFUND! We cannot afford to lose this amount it has been so stressful.

I wish I had read the reviews before I had anything to do with them. They are a dishonest company, helpful and friendly when they want your money but totally without scrupulous. Advice KEEP AWAY and don't have anything to do with them. You will come out the worse!

After a visit to the ideal home, this company quoted, delivered and only partly installed a bathroom. Since sept I am still waiting for them to finish, they have taken my money and I have a incomplete bathroom. They will not answer my calls or emails, I have now had to have another company quote to finish my bathroom at a cost of over a thousand, They have inspected my bathroom and said the pipe work is incorrect, the floor has not been reinforced, the electrics to the pump is a health and safety issue. The shower had not been fitted properly. The units were never finished, the paint is flaking off the ceiling, The floor is that bad that there is no longer any grout left between the tiles. What initially should have taken 2 weeks maximum took 38 days, at first they said they would do the repairs, but then in feb their promises stopped they will not answer my calls, they never phone me back when I leave a message and they do not answer the emails. I now heard they have left other people in a worst state then us. Please if you have any sense give them a wide birth. My bathroom is horrible and I wish I could put photo's here for you to see, the initial cost was £6500 has cost me another £1200 to have it corrected and has made me very cautious to anything I purchase or have done in the future.

I regretted the day I walked into this nightmare showroom! Very unprofessional ! Keep away their fitters are useless and these people don't have a clue what they are doing !! Very unprofessional !! Don't be fooled by their 5 star fake reviews. One way to describe them ....!!! PLEASE KEEP AWAY !!!

I was recommended this company by my neighbours and rung up to get a quote for doing up my kitchen. The man on the phone (forgot his name) was very helpful and friendly and set me up with a consultation ASAP where we were visited by some lovely designers who assisted in developing a beautiful kitchen right in our budget. I can honestly say we are astounded with the quality of our kitchen and the fitters attention to detail.

As first time customers,we were extremely pleased with the levels of communication given throughout the process. We had our bathrooms (1 bathroom and 2 ensuites) done with shaping homes this Christmas and We are extremely happy with the finished product and they look gorgeous. The quality and colour scheme created really come together to give the bathroom a rich feel at such an affordable price. the fitters were so amazing and friendly, two of the nicest people we've met. Thank you for our new luxury bathrooms!!

Initial communication with salesperson clear and direct. That was the only positive to mention. Very quick to take two thirds of the money prior to work starting. No further communication unless prompted by me (start date, details, admin etc) no lead person,absolutely no project management resulting in incorrect deliveries, incorrect products or no products. Deliveries not arriving on time, no continuity of customer care or lead person, plumber left job half done,extensive time delays to find new plumbers.I had to project manage. Lack of any visits from Shaping Homes team to discuss grievances, no follow up or communication from SH since work eventually fitted. Poor indifferent provider ... job was meant to take 3 weeks maximum, took almost 3 months.Stressed to the limit.. Still no communication..Would be horrified if other people had the same discourteous experience..

5 mths later i am still waiting for completion of bathroom. had to use 24 hr tesco for toilet as left without for 8 days. numerous cancellations, they locked me out my own home for 3 hrs in the street as it took 14 calls to them to authorise a locksmith. they do not return calls & staff are rude, dismissive & costantly lying. currently waiting for delivery of the sink & fitters cannot complete til then. shower half finished, bath is sitting in my bedroom, house is filthy due to goods everywhere & the house is almost inhabitable. trading standards have been informed

you have been warned.

AMAZING- We wanted to maximise the space in each bedroom, as they're fairly small rooms and weirdly shaped, and shaping homes helped us do just that. Service was great and really organised, from the guy in the office to Andreas the fitter who did a fantastic job and paid great attention to detail. They listened to exactly what we wanted and created exactly what we had in mind. Would really recommend. Yaamin Hudhud

Goodbye shaping homes. You will not be missed! Of course we expect the same company will be relaunched 3rd time yet, employing the same people, minus all its debts and previous customers deposits within a few months. Our laws are protecting them

My dream a new bathroom, excited and could not wait. So disappointed it took forever and has had so many problems, they say sit back and we will design, and install with out any stress for you. The stress has been really bad, and to top it all the office staff do not care they do not return your calls and are never polite. The units and the bath look is they are from a seconds shop. I was under the impression this was a reputable company and it certainly is not.

It has been one big nightmare.
