Sagittarius Taps & Showers

Had an issue with a thermostatic shower mixer failing after just under three years. The technical dept have been fantatsic. Very good support and rapid despatch of replacement cartridge FOC.

These taps were just what I wanted, looked really good. I have now had them for 5 years. They started leaking last year which I managed to repaiir, but are leaking again, also there is a massive area of corrosion, leaving a large hole. I am in an awkward position with with them as I bought both bath and basin taps, no way will I repurchase the basin taps, so have the problem that I will have mismatched taps.

I would love to give a good review as the Churchman wall mounted bath taps from Sagittarius look fabulous.... but there have been a succession of problems. They have dripped & leaked on various occasions, and despite the heads & then the body being replaced, the issues recurred. Finally I sent in photos of the damaged threads on the 'legs' & the technical guy, said he'd not seen such corrosion before. Completely new taps were sent & I am waiting for the plumber to fit.

However, Sagittarius has failed to respond in any way to my (I think reasonable) request to contribute towards the cost of the plumber who has already been 3 times since the original installation to fit replacement parts or fix drips and there will be another charge to install the new set. Blanking me just makes me crosser.

Recently I wanted new basin taps & the search brought up a Sagittarius model that was great on design & price, but I wouldn't risk it again & went for another brand.

We fitted a Sagittarius waste trap on a small downstairs sink.

After 5-6yrs we noticed a small patch of corrosion on the side of it. We hoped it would simply remain a small localised problem so ignored it. But within a couple more years it was the size of a 1 pence coin and clearly speeding up in nature.

We contacted PlumbNation where it was ordered from. Sagittarius applied what appears to be "Warrant Armour" saying, their items do not corrode in that way so we must have been at fault. PlumbNation then seemingly washed their hands of the matter not even replying to emails.

So clarifying the trap rarely even needed little more than a wipe a few times a year, and nothing corrosive/abrasive had ever been used simply fell upon deaf ears.

Clearly the item corroded from the inside out, and burst through the chrome exterior, but the 10yr warranty is all but pointless when Sagittarius seemingly declare their units are without fault, so you cannot claim.

I have had these taps fir more than 10 years I had the thread at the bottom of the crystal gold plated they look as good as new everyone comments on them

I purchase a Sagittarius Corsica Monobloc Kitchen sink mixer from Tapware house, it was not great from the out set the rubber grommet to change the flow did not fit properly, then the tap starting leaking unless you found a very precise spot for the joy stick to rest. The property has 1 residence so the usage of the tap is minimal to say the least and now the joy stick has snapped of leaving the alleged brass inners corroded. All this in the space of 2 years, I have chased the company because I was promised a high quality tap with a ten year guarantee, so far all I had is the cost (over a £100) but know tap to match the price tag or the aftersales services you would expect.

In July 2013 I purchased a Sagittarius Contract Monobloc Sink mixer tap, which came with a ten year guarantee. The following January (six months later) I complained that the taps had mail functioned, would not stop dripping and there was a frequent problem with the tap sticking when turning it on causing a sudden gush of water. I contacted Sagittarius Taps and eventually they replaced the unit. This has now happened on three occasions I have now given up on any Sagittarius product. In May this year I contacted the managing director and explained the awful experience I had with his product. I eventually received a response from him asking for further information which I supplied and I asked him to refund the cost of the taps and the cost of three plumbers visits to change the unit. A total of £128. Since then I have receive no response. I am being totally ignored by the Managing Director of this Company. I now have every intention of contacting trading standards to seek their help. I strongly believe this unit is not fit for purpose. If anybody wants a Sagittarius kitchen mixer tap I have THREE spare ones to give away!!

Tried to reach them for a weeks. No replies on e-mails, phone was not picked up. Even on facebook page my messages were marked as read, but was no reply.

On their facebook page seen customer comment that she had same problem, and It was erased immediatelly.

Very very bad customer service.

Highly unrecommended.

Well only lasted 2 years 10 year guarentee is for non moving parts I was told.

Needs new valve as now constantly dripping.

But the chrome is good!!

It will look good in my dustbin as parts are not available.

I have had 2 sagittarius kitchen mono taps which good quality and lasted for many years, one started to make noise and went back to sagittaruis, although it was old, they said they didnt get many issues with their taps but did take an interest wanted resolve the problem, did take some time and emails but byt sent me new parts to fix, considering how long I had the tap felt this was excellent customer servivce
