I had a new kitchen and bathroom designed and installed by NJKI.

Expected full project management and excellent work and products.

Spending nearly £20,000...how wrong was I to trust them.

Terrible workmanship, filter dismissed after complaining to me constantly about the company and produced terrible workmanship in both rooms. No respect for my possessions or protection given despite asking constantly or apologies. Tiling over first attempt of bad tiling. The list of mistakes are too many to write but mistakes made in every single area, including ordering incorrect fittings and built in electrical products. The company gave excuses every time when asked when the work would be finished correctly, moanng we only have 1 remedial fitter to do all of our customers jobs. Took 6 mths to finish work and tried to bill me for the remedial work/their mistakes. Joke.

Then sometime after left a plant on my doorstep, with a compliment note, no message and addressed to Mrs...I am not married! Frankly found this rude, as if a plant would make things better.

Since then constant inspection of their work shows how shoddy it is and I nearly got seriously injured when the bathroom cabinet heavy mirrored door fell of the hinge for no reason. Another workman has identified not secured correctly with sufficient amount of hinges for the weight of door. This cabinet had to built twice due to incorrect design first time.

Avoid this company.

Just read on Facebook that someone ordered their kitchen a couple of weeks ago then found out last Friday that the Company had gone into liquidation.

Can anyone confirm this.

I see NJK Interiors - previously Not Just Kitchen Ideas - has (as of 10 October 2017) gone into Administration.

Does it surprise me, not at all. The business has gone from being a well run family business into a fragmented service provider.

Many of its contractors, such as Bedford Kitchens (fitter), are very good / competent, and NJKI's design service is also very good too.

NJKI's customer service, however, is pathetic and a number of its staff representatives are cocky / overconfident. It's hardly surprisingly, therefore, that with reported mounting debts and a number of unsatisfied customers, that the company's plight was only going in one direction. Down.

We moved our kitchen from a north facing to a south facing room. It has transformed our house. We used the builders recommended by NJKI to prepare the room and make good the room where the kitchen was and they were fantastic dealing with all little hiccups without drama. NJKI's fitter was also very competent and pleasant to deal with and has done a lovely job. If I had a negative comment it would be that I felt as if my business was not important to NJKI but because I had been recommended them I persisted. I love the end result.

We received an excellent refit. We arrived at the showroom at 4.50pm, 10 minutes before closing time, but were made to feel welcome, not rushed, and the lady was really helpful. The planner suggested relocating the hand basin, making the bathroom feel bigger. The staff at the showroom were very patient while we agonised over the choices of tiles and floor covering. The fitter worked tidily and left no mess each day. He explained the problems when they became apparent and talked through our options for resolving them.

The only down side was the wait before an appropriately -skilled fitter was available.

We are really pleased with our new bathroom.

After six years a hinge on one of the cupboards was bust and needed replacing . We thought this was a quality product and six years is not very long in the life of the kitchen used by two people . We were quoted a callout charge of £120. Quite outrageous . The staff were unhelpful and unable to supply us with a name of somebody else locally who could fix this for us .

Designer really listened to what we wanted and made lots of adjustments until we were completely happy. Her attention to detail and perseverance in following through even the smallest of enquiries gave us complete confidence. Work carried out professionally and courteously by the excellent builders and fitters as recommended. We are more than happy with the finished kitchen.

Really happy with my new kitchen. A few minor issues occurred but these were dealt with promptly. Customer services communicated with me on a regular basis keeping me informed of each step of the process. I imagined there would be so much dust everywhere but I was wrong! The tiler and kitchen fitter were fantastic - punctual at all times and had the greatest respect for my home in terms of tidiness, minimal dust,and disruption.

I have already recommended Kitchen Ideas to my neighbour who has watched my kitchen progress and I would definitely use Kitchen Ideas again in the future.

Everything was carried out to a high standard. The quality of the product was extremely high.

We had our kitchen completely redone by NJKI and are very happy with the results.

We commissioned their recommended builder to take out the old kitchen and prepare the room for the new kitchen. There were a few hiccups with this part, not knowing who was responsible for what. Communication from NJKI was good and I knew that any issues would be resolved promptly, but some information fell through the gaps and we weren't always kept in the loop.

I'm really happy with the design of the kitchen, and the consultant took all of our requests into account. It was also very good value for money when considered against other quotes that we received.

The fit of the kitchen itself was excellent, and there was great attention to detail from the fitter. The materials themselves are high-quality and I'm particularly pleased with the solid-wood worktops.

Overall a positive experience, and I'd recommend them.
