Kitchens For Less

On 4/26/13 we went to the show room, picked out a Kitchen Island with Granite top. Was told it would take 5 weeks to custom build, we were fine with that. Paid with a credit card. It is now 7/2/13 and still no completion date given!! After 7 weeks I called, was given a story that the cabinet came in damaged and was returned to factory. Note - There was not 1 phone call giving me this info. Only after I complained was I told this. Which was a out right Lie!! The very next day I got a phone call from her saying that the cabinet was in and they would be out Monday to install. Which was Another Lie!! When a delivery person (only 1 man) came to just deliver it (Not install it) and asked for help unloading?? I decided to inspect it before I helped him unload and carry into the house. Good Idea, the drawers were not right, I Refused it and when the owner called and said "what do you want" I TOLD HIM I WANTED MY ISLAND AND I WANTED IT TO BE RIGHT!! So today 2 men came with it and said that they worked on it all yesterday afternoon. It was the way it should be. Which is what I expect for $1800.00. But it still is not set and the Granite Top is not here. And again NO phone call. Lord only knows when this Saga will be over!!! Short and Sweet - DO NOT GO TO KITCHENS FOR LESS OR KITCHENS 2 GO, if you expect Any Kind of Customer Service.

We made a provisional order, the wene to one of the show rooms for a look. Half the kitchens (well nearly half, they only had 5...) had hinges falling off. None of the mitres had been cut cleanly, and carcasses looked exactly like the bedroom furniture I had in the 80s.

Went next door to B&Q, and the quality was in a different league. The price, however, was the same.

Terrible company. Ordered and stupidly paid for kitchen after saving for 2 years. Six months on still no fitted kitchen. Items were delivered damaged, incorrect and their fitters ruined/badly fitted some pieces. No answers to calls, recorded letters. Trading Standards, Doncaster involved.
