From the very start, right through to the very end this was the most pleasant and stress free endeavour I could have hoped for from Illya Kitchens. Yuriy was with whom I had first contact at Illya Kitchens. After visiting him and explaining our requirements, he ensured that he came to visit our home in order to take our measurements in a timely manner. The quote he provided was within my budget. The work started on time and was completed within the agreed timeframe. There were a number of different people who were involved in fitting our new kitchen which included, but not limited to, tilers, electricians, plumbers and more. They were all managed by a dedicated Project Manager, the friendly Egor, who was on site everyday for the duration of the fitting. He ensured that all members of the team not only worked well together but that there was no delay and the flow of work was maintained. It was a relief to see such an efficient team working in my home. Now that the work is complete, entering the kitchen everyday brings a smile to my face. The whole project was completed with such professionalism that I truly believe that the final outcome is much better than I had hoped. Initial meeting and contract signing:

Top reasons for choosing ‘Illya Kitchens’ for our project were their preparedness and professionalism. We did some initial designs of the new layout which we forwarded to the the person I dealt with . We were pretty impressed that they took those initial designs and prepared detailed front and elevation plans from it. They have a good eye for details where all the things were matched properly and made symmetrical. Most of the design improvement suggestions were insightful and showed that they have done it many times before.

In our first meeting they showed us the samples of doors, several pictures in catalogue to get the look & feel of the kitchen, which was unmatchable with any of the other contractors. All our doubt were cleared quite well.

It took about a week for them to finalise, check everything and prepare the contract for signing. So, in short everything was quite quick and smooth.

Quotation and pricing:

A detailed quotation was provided on request, covering all aspects of the project right from the removal of old kitchen, repairing, plumbing to the new kitchen installation. Though for personal reasons we chose to do all the initial work ourselves. But things brought a lot of clarity this way.

Since there is a perception that German kitchens are high in quality and so is their price. I can assure you that based on the quality, Hacker kitchen sourced by Illya Kitchens is any day a value for money. Before starting we visited different showrooms like Magnet & Homebase and found that either the quality was too bad or the price was too high. After using the units for about a month, it feels like a good quality deal at a decent price.

Delivery:

Although most high street kitchen installers like Ikea and Homebase take about 4 weeks for delivery, typical time for a German kitchen is 4-6 weeks. Ours was delivered after 6 weeks which we were informed about in advance. The delivery was on time and we were always kept in loop.

Labour:

Very polite and professional. We were worried that our new wood flooring might get damaged if they drag the units on it but they were extremely careful.

Seemingly, they do not fit the base appliances until the worktop is fitted but the guys were kind enough to temporarily setup the washing machine on request. It was a great help. Worktop actually took another week.

Overall Impression:

All in all I will not hesitate to recommend them to anyone as they did do a very high quality job at a reasonable price. They are extremely professional and insightful. In short they know their stuff.

Illya Kitchens was recommended to us by a friend, I had a chance to see their work, and therefore there were no doubts in my mind about their ability to please me. All I can say is – I will be recommending them to everybody who is looking for a German kitchen. Having spent a good part of 6 months visiting different kitchen showrooms and obtaining quotations and designs we wish that we came across Illya Kitchens sooner. Their staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and most of all understanding. We were so impressed that we also asked them to provide a quotation for our kitchen building work which included blocking up the existing door and creating a new one on the other side of the room, as well as re-wiring the kitchen circuits, removing the old boiler and instead replacing it with a Combi, tiling, plastering and painting. The price was negotiated and the end result blew our minds. When my friends and family come over the kitchen is now the main talking point.

Thank you and your installation team for a job well done. Everything from the first drawing to the last screw has been done just as I wanted it; also your quotation was 30% less than other companies we looked at. We would recommend you to anyone who wishes to purchase a bespoke German Kitchen.

Having searched for quite a long time for a kitchen supplier we saw Illya Kitchens' van parked outside our neighbor's property - installing their kitchen. We have visited our neighbor's property and were very impressed with the professionalism displayed by the fitters - fully uniformed, polite, and as our neighbor confirmed - masters of their trade. We have spoken to them and visited the website and booked a free home visit. Their designer had arrived and explained everything to us in depth about their product in a calm professional manner. At no point we felt pressured to buy. After my wife had chosen the kitchen, the wait for it's arrival from Germany was 6 weeks as promised, the installation took 1 week and was free. The kitchen itself is of high quality as you would expect being German.
