I recently contacted agent at Blok Designs for some advice about a new American fridge freezer we are having fitted. He replied to me immediately and arranged for one of his fitters to adjust some shelving he put in some 16 years ago! This now means we can house the new Fridge freezer!

He originally designed our kitchen which still takes my breath away 16 years later! Don’t ever retire Dave!

We recently had an extension built and contacted Blok Designs to ask for a kitchen design and new utility area quote.

From day 1 he was amazing . He worked with us incorporating all of our requirements whilst suggesting innovating and interesting design solutions. Beautiful drawings and 3d images enabled us to envisage the end result before deciding to go ahead.He was so experienced at understanding what would and would not work within our space. We are so grateful for his patience and attention to detail. He assisted us also with selection of sanitary ware for a downstairs WC and a refit of our Bathroom.,he also designed a bespoke shower area which is beautiful. . The quotations that he provided were both very reasonable and detailed. This enabled us to have a detailed budget. We are lucky that the extension has provided a large space which has been designed perfectly, thanks to him . Literally all through the process nothing was too much trouble. Our friends are all blown away when they visit. Blok designs also did the fitting and the guys were fabulous, the attention to detail was extraordinary. Unfortunately due to no fault of our builders, who were also excellent , there were some delays and Blok designs were so helpful in rescheduling deliveries and also had to reschedule the entire fit. Also working directly with our builders to take the stress away from us. . Again, Literally nothing was too much trouble and he was there all through the fitting process to inspect and ensure all was ok. I would recommend Blok designs to anyone who is looking for either a new kitchen or bathroom fit out. We do not have a single negative thing to say about the quality and service at Blok designs .

We came to Blokdesigns by a circuitous route. The supplier recommended by the company that supplied us with new ovens when our previous one broke let us down in that they failed to communicate with us for long periods. This caused us to search for another. One of the internet sites that we looked at was Blokdesigns. It was the only one that set out clearly what the company did along with its policy on pricing and with several installation references that were easy to access and illustrated well the company’s work.

He does the design work and then project manages his fitting teams who carry out the work and with whom he has a long and trusted association. One of the good things about him is that there is no ‘side’ to him: he comes across as an ordinary guy who is not trying to sell you something that you do not want and who just tells it as it is. For us, he was full both of ideas and little snippets of advice that were worth their weight in gold. He was honest about prices, too, which was refreshing in itself!

Another good point about him is that he responded to our many questions, mainly during the design phase, very quickly and usually by return. But don’t expect carefully crafted responses from him: his emails are written as he speaks, as an ordinary guy who is not trying to sell you something that you do not want and who just tells it as it is. That sat very well with us.

In the event, he was not the cheapest quote that we had, neither was he the most expensive, but his design was by far the best. It showed how well he had taken note of the problems in our (then) kitchen that we were trying to rid ourselves of and set out to solve them all. His quotation was also the only one to set out the prices clearly and unambiguously. It set out the price of each unit of furniture and equipment and what, if any, discount had been applied. Moreover, it did not include any of the onerous terms, conditions and caveats that we had found less acceptable in the others.

The proof of the pudding, of course, is in the eating as the old adage goes. He had provided us with a start date and a high-level schedule of work. It ran pretty well like clockwork: started on time, finished one day early. The fitters doing the work arrived on time and worked hard, assisted by regular supplies of tea! They caused very little disruption and cleared up the small amount of mess at the end of every working day.

Were there any problems? Of course there were! Drawer runners supplied were too short (he prefers to fit 500mm deep drawers - and it is really useful to have the extra depth) and his supplier had fitted shorter runners. But the problem was quickly identified and sorted out by him without denting his timescale. Other minor issues were also quickly resolved - a previously unseen gas pipe had to be moved and some unexpected alteration to water pipes was required.

Were we pleased with the end result? Absolutely! Was it value for money? Definitely! Did we pick the right company for the job? We certainly did! It was with much help from him - and his fitters - that we now know that we got it right. In more than a month of use we have not had any misgivings about the design or the quality of either the units or the workmanship - and we realise the value of all his little snippets of advice that are now proving their worth.

After meeting and speaking to Blok Designs about putting in a new kitchen, we did not hesitate to move forward with the project.

From day one the job went without any problems. Blok Designs are excellent to work with, very professional and easy to communicate with which made the job roll along nicely. They are very knowledgeable in the field and my husband and I were more than happy to take their advice and ideas which we feel added so much more style and individuality to our original kitchen plans, which is exactly what we were hoping for.

We are so pleased with our new kitchen and receive many compliments about the design, layout and finish. Our friends are particularly impressed with our tap which gives us instant boiling water! A feature suggested by Blok Designs. We would not hesitate to recommend this company and would work with them again in the future.

From start to finish I was very happy. All my ideas and wishes were listened to and realised. I got the dream kitchen that I'd imagined and block designs sourced all the items that I had asked for. The craftsmanship and attention to detail was second to none. Highly recommend them!

Block designs renovated our kitchen to an excellent standard. Competitive price. Project Manager very professional. Standard of workmanship very good. Products used appeared to be of good quality. A large variety of products to choose from. Overall would thoroughly recommend to family and friends.

Blok Designs originally installed our kitchen 10 years ago, we didn't hesitate asking Blok to return a month ago and install a large addition to the kitchen.

The care taken to ensure that we had want we really wanted was excellent, there were a couple of bespoke items that we wanted designing and Blok came up with ideas backed up with plans.

On site the installer was extremely helpful always asking if we were happy with what was being done. Blok managed the project throughout, visiting site regularly. The work was completed on time and tidily, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Blok Designs

Blok designs were a fantastic option for us as we got a bespoke kitchen at a much lower price than we would have been able to get anywhere else. There was a good range of appliances to choose from and the kitchen was fitted by Blok too - this was a must, so our builder said. We are thrilled with the end result, thank you Blok.

Had fitted wardrobes in our bedroom by Blok. Fantastic service from beginning to end. we had a very friendly visit from Blok where we went over some ideas and colour schemes. 3D drawing really showed how we can best use the space within the room and create extra storage. Fitting was arranged and completed very professionally. The quality of the materials is clearly evident and is the best part of the whole job! The finished wardrobes were exactly as we had envisioned and the additional storage space created is invaluable! Great work, would definitely recommend and already have done!
