I initially approached Ashford Kitchens as it is local to us, has a good showroom, and friendly staff. It became clear to me after a short while that they are also highly professional and put a lot of emphasis on customer service.

It is a family run firm that has been around for 25 years. It seems to benefit from that family feel while incorporating the professionalism you'd expect from a larger company. They used 3D software to build an accurate model of our kitchen and give us a good idea of what the final product would look like.

My wife and I are fussy, and spend a lot of time making decisions in order to get it right. The firm's manager, was very patient with us. He steered us through many decisions, and had a good feel for the quality of finish we were looking for: high quality but not ridiculously expensive. We ended up with stone surfaces, porcelain tiles and Neff appliances.

Installation was quick and efficient. Our fitter was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. When we pointed out a couple of things we wanted changing, they dealt with it to our complete satisfaction. This is a company that delivers on good customer service rather than just talk about it up front. They just handle any problems without question.

As an example, six months on, I've just had a problem with a manufacturing defect with our sink. Ashford Kitchens has arranged to collect the replacement sink, remove the old one, fix the new sink, and deal directly with the manufacturer to get payment for the installation.

I am writing this review because I feel strongly that Ashford Kitchens deserves to do well. Companies that put customers first should thrive in any economic climate, which is probably why they are still around after 25 years.

My wife and I are quite exacting and demanding of quality, and we feel Ashford Kitchens have exceeded our expectations. I have recommended them to our neighbours, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone living within 30 minutes of Ashford (Surrey).
