Texture Paint Could Be Difficult To Clean
I bought a tub of texture paint from Wilkinsons. I painted a 4 foot wide strip from floor to ceiling, and could not decide if I liked it or not before continuing with the rest of the wall. If you have a similar problem with deciding whether or not you like this product, I would recommend wiping it off before it dries. I did not like it, and washed it off.
The Worst Ever Don't Buy It
Having painted many walls in many colors over the years, I consider myself an enthusiastic amateur qualified to state that this paint is the worst, most difficult and irksome paint I've had the misfortune to use. The walls I painted using the Everyday Value Brillant White Satin were primed, cleaned and smooth. After four coats the barely beige primer is still showing through; the paint is virtually transparent and every roller stroke leaves a mark. I anticipate doing four more coats t a minimum to obtain a smooth lookin finish. I can't believe how much time and effort I've wasted using this inferior product, and I hope you'll save yourself a headache. I would have given this paint zero stars if possible. A complete waste of time and money. Sheesh. They should be ashamed.

What It Says
The Wilko paint range is the best value, coverage, non drip.odourless paint range I have ever used.Believe me .it was my profession at one time. I have used the white emulsions gloss and magnolia. I first used it after talking to another customer instore.I am a true convert to these ranges. Wallpaper fab too!

Not Worth The Hard Work!
Blimey O'Riley!! This was extremely hard paint to work with. Would rather work with cement!! What would have taken an hour to do with emulsion took nearly 4 hours to do with the texture paint.
The consistency was very stiff and seemed to contain more sand than paint and so took a lot of hard muscle work and sweat to get the coverage needed.
What I did like about this paint was the ease of getting the lid off, and from there it was all downhill.
Think Wilko should sell this in the Keep Fit aisle :-))

About A Year Ago I Submitted A Praising Review On
About a year ago I submitted a praising review on Wilko's Right Price Brilliant White Paint but now I find myself writing a poor review on its replacement product.
Having just stripped my living room and dining room ceilings from their ugly artex with one of my favourite products, X-Tex, it needed painting over the exposed plaster base.
Having bought Wilko's Right Price paint before and used throughout the upstairs I went to buy some more. However, I found that the Right Price paint had been replaced by Everyday value which didn't really concern me and I was happy with the price tag of £4 for 5 litres which would have been enough to do both ceilings.
My intention was to 'wash' the ceiling with a half and half mix of paint and water to seal the plaster then give a coat or two by paint pad and finish off with a roller.
I was immediately concerned with how transparent the whitewash was and even moreso when the first paint pad coat also was very see-through. Two more pad coats later and I was still not impressed with the colour.
I applied three coats with a roller and there were still dark patches showing through the paint and I'd used 4 litres on a 16sqm ceiling.
Although the paint was a thick consistency and its colour looked very white it's clearly lacking in pigment.
I would not recommend the Everyday Value range of paints for anything other than sprucing up an existing painted ceiling (or wall if using the magnolia colour).
The good thing about Wilko is their satisfaction guarantee and I returned the paint to swap it for their more expensive version without argument which covered the other ceiling in 3 coats, a review to follow soon I'd wager.
