Purchased a lovely fireplace earlier this year but expressed my concerns about a damp problem that I was assured would be solved during the installation process when the lining and flue were fitted. Since fitting the problem is actually worse indicating a potential issue with the flue fitting (verified by an independent survey) - certainly the original issue was not addressed or taken into account. I have contacted the company since and have been assured (at my insistence - the original feedback was that it was not their concern) that an engineer would be sent round but this has failed to materialise. I have been left feeling entirely fobbed off and with the belief that the company were only interested in the initial sale despite my outlining very real concerns I had about the (initially minor) damp issue. They are certainly not interested in any form of aftercare.
