Appalling Service From Windoworld, Chorley
Delivery man contacted two days before installation to advise he was outside of my house and needed to deliver frames and I had to sign document so I had to come home. Hardly conducive to working people.
Arranged start date for installation weeks in advance. On morning if installation fitter contacted me at 9.15 to advise he would not arrive until after lunch as he had gad such a busy week and was stuck on a job.
Another delivery arrived without my knowledge so lucky in this time.
Contacted office at 2.30 to enquire if fitter was coming. Advised fitter had just arrived in office and would be with me shortly and would ring.
Fitter arrived at 4pm and said he had not been in the office that say and couldn't have arrived any sooner as he had been so busy on other jobs. Wanted to start work and work til 9pm at night which I didn't agree to.
After much discussion owner of Windoworld agreed to refund £100 off the final bill and I agreed fitter could come on Saturday and Sunday and work until 12. I cancelled plans for the morning but said I wasn't cancelling the afternoons. Fitter arrived Saturday and ended up being there until 2pm so plans had to be cancelled. Wrong glass was installed in back door. I paid for frosty and got plain so extra had to be ordered which involved waiting for another four to five days.
Sunday arrived I asked fitter at 11am would it all be finished for 1pm as I had people coming for lunch - plans that had been made weeks ago as I was too my windows would be fitted in one day in the previous Friday.
Last pane of glass to go in was broken by fitters assistant. Job ended up being finished at 2pm and being told they would have to come back to replace broken glass and wrong glass in four to five days time.
Two days later the lock on the back door which is my access route got stuck so I could not go out until fitter had come and fixed it.
In the meantime Windoworld published photos on Facebook including the wrong glass and window that was broken though the cracks were obscured which let everyone else see into my house so even when they make mistakes they publicise what a good job they do.
During all this the owner of Windoworld has described me as being unreasonable and lacking empathy and doesn't understand what more he could have done for me.
Have not received my £100 refund and don't expect to but have received a guarantee to my deceased parents as they have addressed it to Mr and Mrs ????? on the documentation.
The additional work was carried out five days later and all I can say is that I was glad that I don't have to have any more dealings with this company. Windoworld has offices in Chorley and Liverpool.
