Wentworth Windows

April 2009 10 windows and 4 doors were installed by Wentworth Windows..Bucks. Halfway through instillation we were asked to pay the balance which was over £5k. We declined due to a drunken fitter on 1st day and endless other problems. The proprieter became aggressive so we parted with another 1k. The problems continued. 4mths after instillation the seal went in bathroom window. After many phone calls by us he eventually rang us October to say he had the window. This was then followed by excuse after excuse, from engine on van need replacing to an aunt had died. We contacted consumer diret,Trading Standards,Fensa and GGF. It is only now we have things moving in the right direction. We also battled for nearly ten months to get our Fensa cetificate.We have also been told the sealant has shrunk as we have gaps around all our windows, and they do not know why we have draughts. Our property was damaged in other ways, internally and externally. The fitters told me they spent the first 4 months with the company putting things right for other disguntled customers, and that the owner never goes to the customer once he has the contract.We have now found out he has a winding up order served on his businessw which is in a printed publication that the public has access to.

We wish there was more easy information on companies as we have had to source a lot of information ourselves. Had we known what we know now we would never have dealt with him.

We went on recommendation,and they are Fensa registered company.

However the quality of windows for £7300 was a rip off. They are covered by a 10 year guarantee,but having to fight to get things done it appears worthless.

Overall rating and value for money I would have prefered not to have given any stars.
