Very Poor
Very very poor company , took over a week to do a two day job , caused damage to my house that is still not finished , installed one door in the wrong place , smashed my outside security light and tried to replace with a cheep and nasty plastic one ( still not sorted two weeks on) Installation manager was asking for final payment on the first day even though only two windows removed and non replaced , he came back the day after wanting payment and the lad were going to be no where near finished. Jo in the office is good to his word but as for the rest we’ll all I can say is very poor. Product is good , I dout this will appear on ther web site
Looks like we may need to go down the same route - would love to hear how you got on. Please would you get in touch ?

Disgusting!!!!!
Very very poor. From start to finish ( we still havent received a satisfactory outcome). Roof is leaking, builders not cleared up after themselves and waiting for them to finish off the job. Numerous attempts made to walkers asking them to sort after being hounded to sign the job off (under duress). Very upsetting experience which has caused stress and anxiety. Please think twice about going with this company

Installation Of Bi-fold Doors
I would like to thank Walkers Windows for a first class installation of a first class product. Myself and my husband are over the moon with our new bi-fold doors with blinds inside the glass. We were impressed from start to finish. Your showroom is stunning, your sales staff so helpful and not pushy at all.

Very Good Windows, Doors, And Workmanship
I am extremely pleased with both the quality of the windows and doors, and the quality of the workmanship. The workers did a top quality job from start to finish. They were very professional and they fit the windows and doors perfectly. I dealt with the sales team, and they were fantastic. I've used Walkers Windows a few times in the past and I would recommend them to anyone. The new windows and doors gave the house a wow factor and certainly added value to the house (built circa 1836).

Do Not Touch !!!
After a visit by the salesman, then the surveyor all was agreed on a price, colour, position of letter box and installation date etc. I received a phone call a day later informing me that the door we had agreed on I was not able to have the letter box in the position we agreed. So this meant the salesman and surveyor didn't know anything about the products ?
So after I told them that I didn't want the door, I was then told that I would be able to have the design I asked for. confused ??
I was happy at this stage. After this process, it knocked the installation date back a bit.
I then received another 2 calls on separate occasions apologising for the fact that the colour I had chosen was out of stock and would have to wait a little longer. So having changed my work shift on 2 occasions for installation guys to fit the door it was still not going to happen. 3rd time lucky I got a call.
Fitters were great. didn't mess about, very efficient and tidy. I was happy again, this was till it started raining. All 4 window panel's and letterbox leaked. I contacted Walkers. They sent out fitters to reseal. Job done. Oh no, then water started leaking from the sill. Fitters came back to reseal, still after more rain it leaked. Puddles on the inside of your house are not nice. Installation manager came out this time. He came to the conclusion that the fitters had NOT fitted the sill correctly so had to arrange for this to be done. I asked him to contact me when this would be done, I had to contact him as I heard nothing. Eventually a fitter came to refit the sill. By this time I had a foul smell and damp appeared on my walls.
Hoping this was the end of all this terrible workmanship and service, I'm afraid it wasn't. The sill on the inside forms condensation and causes wet patches now and again. This is an intermittent problem but as my 25 year old door of previous didn't do this then I don't think a brand new composite door should either.
I once again contacted Walkers to inform them of this problem. Having been ignored for a week or so I contacted them again. I was informed that Walkers was going to contact the manufacturer direct and do some testing on why this was happening.
The last I heard from Walkers Windows was 26th February 2016 and it is now the 3rd May. So overall the door we purchased looks fantastic, good quality but as for the company itself I would never purchase from or recommend to.
They are a terrible company. Once they have your money, they want nothing else to do with you.
Your lucky it was only a door, they made a mess of a whole conservatory installation and don't want to know.

New Door, Great Job.
From start to finish we could not have wished for better service. The door is excellent quality and fitted expertly. The fitters arrived as arranged and wasted no time completing the job. We are very grateful to all at Walkers windows.
Renaiged On Contract
Please do not touch this Company.
After much "shopping around" we decided on Walkers Windows. We agreed a price and signed a contract with card details taken for the deposit. Next day the salesman came back to advise that he had made a mistake and that the price should have been £500.00 higher. Speaking to the Sales ~Manager, "The quote was a genuine mistake". The out shot of it all is that Walkers do not want to know anything about it. They think handing back a signed contract by both parties renaigs any agreement! Let's see what happens. Watch this space.
looks like you live in complete cuckoo land, if the sales rep was 100% technically aware there would be no need for surveyors if they spot an issue they advise the sales department, why would they do a job and lose £500 the £500 was probably less tthan the actual value anyway.
pretty obvious you were after something for nothing and no i dont work for outfit its idiots like you we dont need in the building trade
The point is, I would like readers to understand you did not renege on the contract after a survey or anything justifiable like that. You simply cancelled my contract on the basis that your salesman apparently undercharged by £500.00! It is all very well requesting an extra £500 24 hours later but it has been extremely uncomfortable and embarrassing having to go back to other companies whom we had already advised we were going with someone else.
The fact is you are a totally unreliable and unprofessional organisation if you can't get a simple quote correct the first time.
As you know we invested a lot of time, effort and expense in choosing you as a company.
It is on this basis I strongly recommend prospective purchasers go elsewhere and not waste their time with Walkers.
For the record, the salesman came no less than 3 times to finalise the measurements and costs.....
At least you admit you caused us inconvenience [or at least "no further inconvenience" ] so a simple gesture of goodwill would have gone a long way.
Hi,
In response to your review of Walkers Windows i feel it necessary to apologise once again for any inconvenience caused. However as i previously explained the contract that was signed by yourself clearly states "All contracts are subject to surveyors reports and findings" and therefore you were informed within 24 hours of signing the contract that we would not be able to install the goods outlined within your agreement. As you are aware the contract was returned along with your deposit the same day so as not to cause you any further inconvenience.
Regards

Impressive Performance From Walkers Windows
Our house was in desperate need of new guttering and facias. We got several companies in for quotes, but the chap from Walkers was knowledgable and we did not feel pressurised nor taken for fools on price.
Highly impressed with final product, looks brilliant and certainly sorted out the problems that we had. Within 24 hours of installation we had a tottential downpour and for the first time in a couple of years no overflowing gutters!
The lads who came to fit the cutters and facias were highly professional. They were friendly and considerate; they left the property clean and tidy at the end of each day. Very impressed, would recommend to others and will certainly use again when our windows need replacing.
Well done Walkers!

Q&A
Anyone had a problem getting a window put in needing building control permission whilst work on a conservatory being done at same time only requiring planning permission for this?
Can Walkers Windows legally keep a key they took from our property, without our permission? We are in dispute with the company and they now have a means of access to my home and are refusing the return the key until payment of the final invoice has been made.
They have not even issued the final invoice yet so I can't pay it even if I wanted to. My wife is actually feeling ill at the fact that this company have a means of access to our home at any time without our permission. If anyone knows where I stand on this I'd be grateful for advice.
No! they cannot keep your key, in simple terms it's theft. Ask them to return your key in writing by registered post informing them if they do not within say 7-days you will report the matter to the Police. Ignore their threats I've had them all they are absolutely meaningless.... don't pay them a penny more until your absolutely satisfied with what your being asked to pay for (which in real terms means never). Document everything with times, dates and photographs. If your unsure of what to do and where to go, forget the DGCOS they are toothless and Walkers are no longer members, speak to the Citizens Advice and complain to Trading Standards.... Let every other potential customer out there know exactly what Walkers are ... TOTALLY UNTRUSTWORTHY .... STAY AWAY .... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
Has any unfortunate customer of Walkers instigated legal action against this company and or complained to the CAB, Trading Standards or DGCOS?
Yes, we have complained to DGCOS as have several others on this website. See our review walk away. Note that walkers are no longer DGCOS members. We considered a small claims court action but fortunately we were able to recover all our costs via a section 75 claim as we paid the deposit using a credit card.
