Choosing the right provider of replacement windows is a very tough job, but one that it is important to get right. I had to replace 11 windows and a patio door, as they were all in a very poor condition. Obviously, I wanted to get a quality window and door and also a company that would fit the windows to a good standard.

I tried to be as thorough as I could and therefore spoke to seven companies. They all reported to being the best, and I got the feeling that they would tell me anything to get a sale.

One of the last companies I spoke with was Re-Energy. They are a relatively new company, but I was reassured as they are part of Innovative Utilities who have a proven track record which I could establish. I was visited by Harry from Re-Energy and was taken aback by his refreshing honesty, expert knowledge and genuine advice. After speaking to a number of companies you become sensitive to the usual sales patter, and it was amazing to be told facts without the spin. I was offered double or triple glazing and was also given time to think about which option I wanted, and I confirmed that I had decided to go for double after a week.

The price I was quoted for double and triple glazing was fantastic and certainly was a factor in helping me decide to opt for Re-Energy. It is breath taking to think that I could have gone with other companies, one of whom quoted a price three times that of Re-Energy!

Once I had made my decision, I then had to wait and see whether the windows and door would be of the quality I had been shown and also vitally whether they would be fitted with care and attention to detail?

The fitters were incredibly professional and worked extremely hard for all three days they were in the house and they actually wore you out just watching how much work they put in. They were also very helpful and more than happy to specific requests and generally very communicative. The fitting and finish is excellent and everyone who has seen the windows and door has been very impressed, and I am very happy showing them off. I have been in other homes where the standard of fitting has been appalling and there I am absolutely delighted with the job I have had. I have inspected the windows in great detail and am very happy to put out any faults, however there are none! All of the old windows and doors were removed and there was no mess around the house.

The windows and patio door are of an excellent standard and are very solid and attractive. Again, I have seen other houses with very flimsy windows and doors, but mine are first class. They have many great features including Pilkington K glass which make them a quality product.

Overall, I am very pleased with myself for making such a great decision to go with Re-Energy and am reassured about my decision making capacity. Other companies told me I would be taking a risk going with them because they are relatively new. However, because they are a new company they have learnt from the bad practice of companies who have been around for years and give the impression that they want to trade and practice in the right way. A very established company tried to fob my off with B rated windows and told me that A rated windows are not worth it and they also wanted more than double the price or Re-Energy! You really need your wits about you when you are trying to decide who to go with.

I have no hesitation in recommending Re-Energy and will certainly be doing this in future, as I believe personal recommendation is the best indicator of service and quality or product.
