We've just completed an extension of our Edwardian house, with 8 new sash windows (double-glazed wooden sashes) plus two bi-fold doors and a casement window too.

We looked around very carefully and chose Byng Joinery because they provided excellent service, came recommended by our builder and were competitive on price too.

We're very pleased with the product - they look very good from the road (lots of compliments from the neighbours) and up-close the paint finish is excellent too.

From my experience so far, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Byng Joinery.

I'm renovating an old shop, and due to a wall move, I had to replace my stairs into the cellar. After checking regs, (and measuring multiple times) I ordered a straight kit from Byng. They took the time to answer a last-minute question, which was really helpful.

It's an excellent product, even including woodglue. My helper asked if I had built one before, it went together so well. The finished product was painted in areas I can't get to, and after some jiggling, it fitted perfectly, without even a squeak, unlike my home stairs. Now for the painting.

I had been researching companies that were able to produce the specific style of windows that I wanted to replace in our seaside home. I had almost lost hope of finding a company that ticked all the boxes until we attended a Kent show and visited the Byng Joinery stand. I wanted a traditional timber Georgian style sash but I had specific requirements, even down to the style of moulding inside and out. The person at Byng Joinery adapted my own drawings to create the exact product I wanted, he acted promptly when I wanted to 'tweek' things and always had a "can do" attitude, his being able to liaise with the production team certainly was an advantage. The paint guarantee was important to us and the finished product came up to our expectations. The order was completed and delivered within the time frame discussed.

We first saw Byng Joinery at an exhibition in Maidstone and were very impressed with the quality and finish of their sash windows. We ordered 2 windows that arrived on time and in perfect condition. The Byng team were always very helpful and efficient at getting back to us. We have a whole house full of old sash windows that will need replacing and we will definitely use Byng Joinery again.

I recently completed installation of flush casement windows throughout my house and garage, supplied by Byng Joinery.

The result of the Anthracite (Dark Grey) windows has been transformational on the property compared to the previous mid quality white uPVC windows. In combination with a forced trickle ventilation system I now have no condensation and significantly improved sound and thermal performance.

I liked the pre delivery process and that the owner himself did the measurement. I would have preferred a supply and installation service but was introduced to a very capable installer so this was not a problem in the end.

After reviewing a number of manufacturers at trade shows and also considering refurbishment of existing units., we settled on Byng based on the quality of their product and what we felt was a good price.

Byng attended our site and measured up the 9 existing openings and 2 new openings in an extension we were building.

Manufacturing took place over the Christmas period so was slightly longer than normal but the windows arrived on promised date, carefully packaged and delivered by Byng themselves. Windows in perfect condition and a mix-up about sash weights was resolved with the correct ones being delivered, again by Byng themselves early the following day, even though we are a few hundred miles from their factory.

Windows have now been in use for 3 months and we are extremely pleased about the smoothness of operation, looks and ability to suppress traffic noise.

We are on the edge of a conservation area and in a National Park, so having windows indistinguishable from the originals, but incorporating double glazing was a major consideration. We are very happy with the outcome, and our builder who was originally concerned to be working with a company he didn't know and wasn't local, is a convert and complementary about the product and Byng's interaction with him.

Very pleased to have discovered this company and their fantastic windows. The service was excellent from start to finish and the windows are not only good value but fantastic quality.
