Albo UK IV92 STRONG 3+

My Father ordered windows from Albo UK windows last August. Basically, Dad ordered the windows, and paid 2 instalments. The initial payment for 60% (15.5k GBP approx) was made late August of 2011, to cover construction of the windows, and the second payment was made late January 2012 which was 30% (7.5k GBP approx) of the amount, to be paid 2 weeks before installation. Albo UK windows kept delaying the installation, citing that they had other jobs etc.

It now transpires that the windows that they said were ready were never made, and that the second payment of 7.5k was taken completely fraudulently, as was the first payment of 15.5k, as they apparently never had any intention of delivering these windows.

In the end Albo UK Windows stole all of our money, never delivered anything, and have now ignored us, and will not return calls etc.

Please be careful when using Albo windows, as they have to date, never refunded us a penny of what was stolen from us. We are currently pressing charges against their UK representative who took the payments on behalf of Albo UK and pursuing other legal avenues. None of the Albo window companies will now return our calls.

Avoid like the plague! Albo UK stole our money and delivered nothing. They don’t care.

This company was the worst I have ever come across. Why? They promised triple glazing and bifold doors with integral blinds in a 11 week lead time. 1 year later I have partial install and wooden boards covering holes in the wall. Adding insult to injury the director has left the country with my money after embezzling thousands from the company.

The experience of buying form this company has been the worst shopping experience we ever had.

We are now living in a house with no windows for 6 weeks and still don't know when the windows will be delivered...

Communication with this company is horrible. The director of Albo, first blamed my builder for misguiding us,

thought my builder has been extremely honest in all respects, and was very upset with the broken promises that were made with regards to delivery date. So to our disappointment our windows were to come 5 weeks later then we expected and they emailed me that the windows will only come by the 23rd of October. Then, On the 25th October he said the window factory in Check-Republic lied to him, so we have to wait another week, but he then committed they will be picked up on a Wednesday and delivered on Saturday, but on Saturday he emailed saying the delivery company only just picked it up and we have to wait another week, he admitted he is in breach on our contract and offered a small compensation. But now.... listen to this, the delivery company's car according has a problem with the clutch, so I have to wait another week on top of all that... There is no end to the mockery of this company, now they give me phone numbers of their factory and of their delivery company in Check-Republic but when I call, nobody there speaks English and they hang up on me..... My neighoubers also got their windows from Albo, theirs were only two and a half weeks late, but came oin the wrong color to what was ordered. Avoid ordering your windows from Albo if you ask me. I now have to consider to take them to court for full compensation.....

Last year we decided to replace four of our old pvc windows with new ones in our family house. Environmentally conscious, we were looking for as low U-value as possible. We were told to look for wooden windows with aluminium cladding, knew already we wanted tilt and turn and after receiving several quotes (asked for triple and double glazing) from different companies, we decided for triple glazing timber windows from Albo Uk. The whole process (from receiving the quote to the final instalation) went smoothly and now, year later, the windows work perfectly. We are glad we went for the triple glazing option, it is much warmer in our house even though we've spent noticeably less for the heating (and this winter was much colder in Scotland). Now we even think to replace our first floor windows (even though they still have plenty of life in them) for triple glazing before next winter.We will most probably choose the same company as the service we got was perfect and the ratio between quality and price seems to be the best we could find.
