BiKal IP CCTV Candy Bar Cam

am always looking to maximize my usage of the things that I have and to cut back on clutter. I was thrilled when I discovered that this is not only a Bikal security camera but also a pretty nice baby monitor. Many baby monitors on the market are pricey and loaded with features I'd never use, so this works fabulously as a no-frills, high quality monitor. The audio is great. I can hear my son turn over in bed and thanks to the quality night vision, I can see him clearly as well. He tends to have nightmares so I have really loved having the ability to keep an eye on him at night and being able to go to him before he wakes up crying. I know this isn't the intended use of this camera but I think it's absolutely fantastic as a baby monitor. When not using it as a monitor, it's also a pretty good security camera as well. I've used it numerous times already when away from home to keep an eye on my property and my golden retriever. The motion detection works flawlessly and the ability to set it's sensitivity it's great. Surprisingly, the wifi extender actually works pretty well. I'm not thrilled with having to have it physically plugged into my router, but it was easy enough with the right length ethernet cable. I had an extra port so it was no big deal there. I was able to tuck it under the edge of the carpet to run it to the central room in my home when I was testing, though I did move it back to my son's room after that. Without the ability to record, I feel that it's a bit pointless as a security system but it IS able to record with the appropriate equipment. As is though, you would have to be actively watching when someone was breaking in and physically take pictures yourself of the intruder. Not as difficult as it may sound thanks to the email alerts, but still not a perfect system for security purposes. The email alerts are timely enough that you could alert the authorities if need be. For the cost it's very functional and a pretty cool little gadget. Installation was very simple and I was up and running in 15 minutes, with the most difficult part being the running of the ethernet cable across the house. Overall I really like this little camera and it does absolutely everything it says it will for a fair price.

This is a really great product. I am not very technical, but it was straightforward to set up and as others have said, it did do exactly what it said on the box.

What I would advise is to make sure you understand how the product that's been advertised works and whether it's right for your needs.

Excellent camera and support from the BIKAL.CO.UK team. If like me you know nothing about ip camera`s, it can be a nightmare setting one up. After a few days with great support from the EyeSpy staff, I am now familiar with port forwarding DynDns and static and dynamic ip addresses.

i totally surprise by the BiKal IP CCTV Candy Bar Cam 102w and 101w, they work and record what`s happening in my house with motion detection and i receive picture on my phone. finally, cbc range is so good and cheap.

BiKal IP CCTV has a clear image for the price, and accompanying software allows 16 plus camera usage. the suppliers always have software upgrades to improve the camera.
