Mountfield MC3816 40cm Petrol Chainsaw

I purchased a Mountfield MC3816 chainsaw direct from Mountfield's UK website. I would normally always use Screwfix (due to their excellent customer service and fast delivery) but Mountfield were £50 chepaer. I was hoping it would arrive next day but they passed the details onto a local dealer who tested the product and delivered it out a week later. Its a good looking machine and well built. Unfortunately on the first day the engine kept cutting out. I called Mountfield up the next working day looking for a pick and repair or a straight swop over. I was told to call the dealer (even though my contract is with Mountfield). The dealer could not come out for 4 days to collect and repair the item. I am therefore looking at a good week turnaround from reporting the fault. (Mountfield do not offer a straight swop over due to people misusing the products). I am now waiting for the collection this Thursday so cant tell you any more for now. Just to say I am not happy with the level of customer service and wished I had purchased from Screwfix. Will keep you posted.
