SnailAway Snail & Slug-Proof Tape

I'd go along with the previous review.

The supplier - Buzz Organics www.buzzorganics.co.uk - were very helpful as I was unsure as to how effective it would be (and they have solutions for the caterpillar problem too by the way!).

The product works great on most places though not on very rough surfaces though

You may think it strange of me but it's kinda fun to watch the snails pull back from the tape when they try to cross :o)

SnailAway Snail & Slug-Proof Tape - We finally solved our BIG slug & snail problem!

I just wanted to share my slug problem and solution with you - we've had so much grief with large black and brown slugs but have now found a really great solution that works.

We tried copper tape and pellets, etc., but althought they killed a few and made a bit of a mess we still have so many that we felt like giving up.

Slugs and snails finished off my Hostas and ravaged my husband's Lettuces so badly, we'd come out after a wet night and to see the damage was so disappointing. We tried pellets and salt but these were easily washed away (God know what they did to our soil), and all the copper tapes and other gimmicks never worked.

We saw this "Snailaway" product on the TV, we were a bit sceptical but it seemed worth a try, but IT WORKED - and it has made a big difference, completely sorted out my slugs and snails. It's made in England but they send it abroad and offer a money back guarantee too which is nice.

We started off using it on our raised bed of lettuces and found it worked really well! Now we are using it on our pots and thinking it of having it in our hot-house for the plantlings.

We still have a caterpillar problem but that's another story!
