Slugit Copper tape slug & snail repellent

We bought this to protect some young chilli plants that were proving to be rather tasty to the local slugs.

I was a little dubious about whether a 1 inch thick roll of copper tape would really do anything, but I've been pleasantly surprised.

The chillis are in pots and the tape has been put round the whole pot.

Three weeks in and we've not seen any snail or slug damage at all.

The only negative Id say is that the tape looks rather unsightly on the pots - its also difficult to get the tape to lay flat on an uneven plant pot, so you get bobbles which again isn't the most attractive look.

However, if you want to protect your plants this copper strip definitely seems to work.
