Gardena Watering System AquaContour Automatic

The Gardena watering system may be alright for smaller gardens but we have had ours for over two years and are beginning our third year. During the first year it worked reliably but has performed disappointingly ever since. The main problem is that when it goes wrong you end up spending more and more (and it is not cheap), only to find that it still doesn't function properly. We have a 'spider' type water distributor which works in conjunction with a computer, and is designed to run up to six lines,of which we use five. It is supposed to move on automatically but ours comes to a grinding halt after the second cycle,down to water pressure we are led to believe (although we have taken steps to overcome deficiences here).

Another gripe is the quality of some of the components. However, it must be said that Gardena have been very fair in replacing faulty components even if out of warranty.

It may be that we are unlucky, but for all the expense, fuss and bother I wish we hadn't got it in the first place. Each line works well, so long as remember to move the distributor on manually each time (which of course you don't). But if you want a reliable system to work infallibly when away from home, think again.
